Drew Kirsch directs a playful performance promo for Charlie Puth and Jung Kook of BTS.&nbsp;Now that Korean boyband sensation&nbsp;BTS have gone on hiatus, each of the members are busy working on their own projects, and Jung Kook has partnered with Charlie Puth for one of the first individual releases.&nbsp;Featuring mischevious performances and a series of abstract vignettes, the concept is an explosion of colour and absurdism, and whilst the scenes are interconnected on a surface level, there is not a clear narrative at play here - and that is one of the things that makes it so absorbing.&nbsp;Taking a page out of the K-Pop video playbook, Kirsch has focused&nbsp;on packing as many spectacular visuals as possible into the two and a half minute runtime, creating a frenetic yet captivating project that feels refreshing and unique.&nbsp;

Joseph Kahn's second video in the trilogy sees DJ Khaled shipwrecked, with featured artists H.E.R and Migos.&nbsp;Isolated on a remote island, Khaled soon transforms the beach landscapes to something far more luxurious, adorned with gold plated sports cars, chandeliers and... dragons.&nbsp;Larger than life and full of standout moments, it's another elevated concept from Kahn and the creative team, with plenty of visual effects trickery as standard.&nbsp;

A long-awaited new live-action cartoon from Nadia Lee Cohen reunites her with A$AP Rocky, and in&nbsp;Babushka Boi they revive the style of&nbsp;a somewhat neglected&nbsp;icon of American pop culture - Dick Tracy.It's Rocky and his merry band of bank robbers up against the pigs - slow-thinking, underresourced, plodding cops with porky features. They don't stand the chance.Nadia Lee has drawn heavily from Warren Beatty's&nbsp;Dick Tracy movie - a box office turkey in the late 80s, possibly because it was so visually groundbreaking.&nbsp;The brilliant SFX makeup of the mobsters and the cops, and the production design, owe a lot to that.She and Rocky have just made the baddies the heroes, and made it a lot better than it was the first time.&nbsp;

Dashing the hopes of alt-righters everywhere that she's their secret queen, Taylor nails her colours to the mast and embraces the LGBTQ community, in the video for You Need To Calm Down.&nbsp;It's a cameo-packed fantasy trailer-park world, with appearances by Laverne Cox, the “fab five” from Queer Eye, Billy Porter, Adam Rippon, some drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race&nbsp;(including a Taylor lookalike) and RuPaul himself. And then there's the appearance of Katy Perry, as a burger to Taylor's fries - an&nbsp;orchestrated demonstration that their, er, 'beef' is now a thing of the past.&nbsp;Maccie Ds&nbsp;must be absolutely delighted.There's also the characterisation&nbsp;of a homophobic demonstrators as a rabble of toothless rednecks - which is fun, but is it helpful? At least one commentator <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/taylor-swift-you-need-to-calm-down-pride-lgbt-song-video-a8964286.html">thinks otherwise</a>.&nbsp;This is also the Taylor's first video where she claims a co-directing credit - together with Drew Kirsch, who's super-colourful style has graced videos for the likes of Jai Wolf, John Legend, Valentino Khan and others.

He crosses paths with dancing tribespeople, before meeting an off-kilter cab driver with special powers.Strange&nbsp;sounds and visions distort his understanding of what&#39;s real, as&nbsp;Vince arrives at a seedy hotel where lost artists are holed up in smokey rooms.&nbsp;And as screaming fans pop in and out of existence,&nbsp;the bamboozled&nbsp;rapper&nbsp;ends up taking extraordinary measures. The latest Tyler, The Creator video is predictable only in its inflammatory-ness. It&#39;s just more lurid and deliberately bad-taste than ever. In the Buffalo video (directed as ever by himself, as Wolf Haley)&nbsp;he&#39;s a lynching victim&nbsp;painted white, being pursued (in cartoon fashion) by an angry&nbsp;mob - of African-Americans. Beat that.And then, in the now familiar Tyler/Wolf Haley&nbsp;style, it all changes. A different song, Find Your Wings (also from the latest album Cherry Bomb),&nbsp;in the same video, and a very chilled studio performance.&nbsp;Naturally,&nbsp;Tyler still can&#39;t play it straight here either. &nbsp;

With his fourth album Cherry Bomb&nbsp;in the bag,&nbsp;Tyler, the Creator&#39;s lets his alter-ego Wolf Haley loose for the album&#39;s first video, for an unconventional love song about Tyler and an underage crush...Wolf&nbsp;serves up his trademark goofy and inventive humour, silly skits, theatrical, over-the-top&nbsp;emotions, and pop-references galore &ndash;&nbsp;laced with contempt&nbsp;and loathing.&nbsp;And it may be a new record, but the visual style continues in the same hyperreal, hyper-colourful vein as his vids for&nbsp;Tamale and&nbsp;<a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2013/04/11/tyler-creator-%E2%80%98ifhyjamba%E2%80%99-wolf-haley" target="_blank">IFHY</a>&nbsp;from the last one. Also like them, it covers the link into another song on the album - and&nbsp;turns into a scene straight out of Mad Max.

And directed by Tyler, of course, as Wolf Haley. Not like other hip-hop videos. And what&rsquo;s with the &lsquo;Golf&rsquo; thing..?
