A long-awaited new live-action cartoon from Nadia Lee Cohen reunites her with A$AP Rocky, and in Babushka Boi they revive the style of a somewhat neglected icon of American pop culture - Dick Tracy.

It's Rocky and his merry band of bank robbers up against the pigs - slow-thinking, underresourced, plodding cops with porky features. They don't stand the chance.

Nadia Lee has drawn heavily from Warren Beatty's Dick Tracy movie - a box office turkey in the late 80s, possibly because it was so visually groundbreaking. The brilliant SFX makeup of the mobsters and the cops, and the production design, owe a lot to that.

She and Rocky have just made the baddies the heroes, and made it a lot better than it was the first time.
