Meeks &amp; Frost channel old school R&amp;B vibes in their video for Alana Maria's Happier.&nbsp;Best known for their multi-format videos for the likes of <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2020/03/05/sl-ft-pa-salieu-hit-block-meeks-frost/63656">SL and PA&nbsp;Salieu</a>, the director duo confidently move into nostalgic territory with Maria's debut visual.&nbsp;Complete with crossfades and plenty of casual Dutch angles, the 90's aesthetic comes through thick and fast, paying homage to the golden era of R&amp;B videos.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Rik Burnell's close attention to camera movement and composition, and the inclusion of posed close-up shots with super soft lighting, stays true to tradition and the iconography of the period.&nbsp;

Maisie Peters gets a mannequin boyfriend in Luke Bather's charmingly&nbsp;offbeat video for Adore You.&nbsp;The mannequin in question -&nbsp;named Ethan Derek&nbsp;according to Maisie Peters' YouTube description - is obtained through a mail order catalogue. Like most love stories this one starts positively, as they dance around, have dinner dates and even pick out outfits to wear. It isn't long however before the cracks start to appear. Ethan is just too quiet, too unattentive...As things come to a head, she throws him out (along with his bold fashion choices), and returns to the catalogue, hoping to have better luck with the new models that are now available. Don't worry too much about Ethan though, he gets a second chance at love too.&nbsp;A surreal yet glossy narrative is enhanced by a strong performance from Peters, who totally sells the concept - an even greater achievement when your acting partner is so wooden). And the colourful palette complements the laid back, feel-good vibe of the&nbsp;track.&nbsp;&nbsp;

It's TTD's most commercial video yet, but he maintains&nbsp;his distinctively individual style with disorientating signature camera wizardry, together with&nbsp;moving furniture, offbeat imagery and saturated colour.Lensed by Hunter Daly, the video is frenetic and hyper-surreal, and flies through a series of conceptual setups to accompany&nbsp;the main performance scenes. The use of bright colour palettes and bold set builds from Jabez Bartlett help marry the concepts together, and performances from Ella and Kiana help ground an idea that could have been overwhelming for a director with less experience.It's a spicey visual feast for a great late-summer anthem. Now can we have some nice weather to go with it?
