Alex Orma presents a brilliant spin on the&nbsp;zombie apocalypse for Belgian band La Jungle.David Cronenberg meets Thriller - and inevitably plays upon the reality of the pandemic - when the population of Brussels begin displaying symptoms of 'dancing plague'. It starts with a bad cough and then it's all about&nbsp;the involuntary jerks and spasms, as the rhythms of La Jungle's Du Sang Du Singe take hold.[imgtoken data:1]The real reference is the Black Death in the&nbsp;16th century, where the 'dancing plague' actually happened: a mystery virus&nbsp;caused&nbsp;people to dance non-stop until they eventually died from a stroke or exhaustion.The clip is a collaboration with choreographer Brandon Lagaert (performer in the Peeping Tom company) as well as with some of the most talented young dancers of the current Belgian scene.[imgtoken data:2]Orma, Lagaert, cast and crew do a superb&nbsp;job here, giving his horror-comedy the scale of a low budget feature, with the a sizeable dollop of Low Country black humour.&nbsp;Looks like it would be fun being a&nbsp;Rock Zombie...

The Roosens direct a poignant tale exploring the end of a relationship, in the video for The Howl &amp; The Hum's Hostages.&nbsp;Set in present day Antwerp, Belgium,&nbsp;the concept depicts an ex-couple sharing&nbsp;the awkward ritual of meeting to return the other’s possessions, experiencing the bittersweet emotions and memories that the objects inspire.&nbsp;&nbsp;The cinematic visual utilises a voiceover and subtitles to create a filmic quality, toeing the line between short film and music video. Shot during the current lockdown, The Roosens have tackled a host of creative challenges, turning their limitations into building blocks of the narrative.

Camille Dauteuille and Clément Dozier - aka AB/CD/CD - return to music videos with a real bobby dazzler for indie vet Tim Burgess's Empathy For The Devil.And as the songtitle suggests, this provides an intriguing twist on our usual take on The Horned One, in an ambitious narrative featuring Charlie Cattrall as a mischievous but surprisingly mortal&nbsp;Beelzebub.This particular Devil, somehow&nbsp;called up to Earth by a bride on her wedding day, and causing a right royal ruckus at her party, is an attention seeker&nbsp;with some underlying behavioural issues. Burgess provides a watchful eye over him, as we find out about the unhappiness behind his naughtiness, and his true role is revealed.&nbsp;This devil is a whipping boy for human frustration and frailty - and Burgess is able to show him sympathy, and possibly empathy too.Produced and shot in Belgium, photographed by DoP Sander Vandenbroucke (in 1.666 ratio),&nbsp;this freewheeling comic fantasy&nbsp;works really well with the&nbsp;jaunty folk-rock of Empathy Of The Devil.&nbsp;And with their background in conceptual, visual effects-based work, it also serves notice that&nbsp;AB/CD/CD have come of age as exciting&nbsp; storytellers.&nbsp;

An intimate relationship between a middle-aged woman and younger female lover is explored in this memorable video for Driftwood by fraternal directing duo Raf and Jan Roosens.&nbsp;Opening with a lingering shot of a conversation between the two women, we arrive at what appears to be a civilized conclusion to a brief affair. After a presumed physical encounter between the pair, we follow the older woman, and her attempts to keep the events separate from the family life she has built around her.&nbsp;Romantic yet tragic, the excitement of the relationship is quashed when reality sets in, and the older woman's emotions are torn as she begins to reflect&nbsp;upon the enormity of her actions, and its impact upon her other loved ones.This is a sensitive handling of an explosive subject, with an impressive performances, particularly&nbsp;from Circé Lethem as the older woman. The cinematography utilises natural light sources to create a sense of realism and to represent her character living her life in an authentic way. There are no frills in either the visuals on-screen or in the character's life, and the aesthetic represents this.&nbsp;

Their promo for&nbsp;Belgian pop-synth band Great Mountain Fire&#39;s track&nbsp;The Magic is another ballgame entirely - a misty and sensual&nbsp;amusement park scene where&nbsp;sexual attraction thrives.It begins with a middle-aged woman taking over the control room of an amusement park, and starting&nbsp;to&nbsp;sing into the intercom&nbsp;microphone.&nbsp;Her singing&nbsp;imbues&nbsp;her surroundings with a&nbsp;passion-filled mood that&nbsp;passersby cannot resist, and it&nbsp;proves to be an extremely powerful aphrodisiac to the people on the Deca-Dance ride.&nbsp;
