It's eleven years since Sam Brown's first video for Adele. Finally, we have his second, and it was worth the wait.It was Brown's iconic video for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYEDA3JcQqw" target="_blank">Rolling In The Deep</a> that kickstarted Adele's ascent to superstardom, of course. Now for Oh My God he has supercharged the elements that made that video a slow-burning masterpiece.[imgtoken data:1]Once again, a performance by Adele - now mature, so much more self-confident - is framed within a series of vignettes that represent the elements of the song. But this time these individual parts of the vision are brought together, all appearing&nbsp;within&nbsp;a single extraordinary camera movement.With the beautifully choreographed flow of characters and objects, the repetition of individuals on screen - primarily&nbsp;Adele herself - Brown has employed motion control camerawork at a level of sophistication and complexity that has been rarely achieved.But if this video is driven by it's concept, it never loses sight of the primary purpose - display the star quality of Adele. This is a stunning, virtuoso combination of&nbsp;artist performance with filmmaking skill and invention.

Bryson Tiller tries to turn back the clock in Rohan Blair-Mangat's&nbsp;emotive video for Right My Wrongs.&nbsp;The video was made to coincide with the re-release of&nbsp;Tiller's debut album, and depicts the artist enjoying success and apparent harmony with his partner - played by Jordan Coleman - but there is something else going on here.&nbsp;Intermixing documentary-style footage and stills&nbsp;with polished narrative setups, the blurred boundaries between real life and fantasy bleed into the overall aesthetic, resulting in a piece that slowly reveals its purpose.&nbsp;&nbsp;The&nbsp;use of subtitles to represent the characters' innermost thoughts&nbsp;- as opposed to their spoken words - creates an extra layer of depth to the story, that ultimately reveals itself as a&nbsp;story about the&nbsp;reality, and the downside, of&nbsp;escalating success - the hidden woes of fame.&nbsp;

The second of Natalie Rae&#39;s new videos for Leon Bridges has the soul singer visiting a series of ordinary folk in their home, like a silent witness to their daily trials and tribulations. But he also seems to be searching for something.The song Bet Ain&#39;t Worth The Hand&nbsp;is based on Bridges&rsquo; experiences of growing up and having trouble standing on solid ground. Regarding the video, Rae has said: &ldquo;People may think that he&rsquo;s searching for something physical, but what he&rsquo;s actually looking for is the last time he felt a human connection to someone.&rdquo;The film&rsquo;s grading by MPC&rsquo;s Ricky Gausis accentuates this emotional sentiment. &ldquo;In the beginning shot, Leon elevates into his own mind and encounters all of these different heart-breaking scenarios,&quot; Gausis explains. &quot;We wanted something more stylized for this first shot and more natural for the remaining shots, to disconnect the two worlds and to emphasize the transition.&quot;&nbsp;

The first of two videos for Leon Bridges directed by Natalie Rae, creative directed by Miles Jay and shot by Steve Annis, Bad Bad News&#39; stars model-of-the-moment Paloma Elsesser, who is catcalled by a stranger on her way home, and is determined to strike back.Elsesser decides to follow and confront the stranger, busting out some dance moves along the way, her story unfolding on the streets of New York. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, Leon Bridges performs&nbsp;Bad Bad News with his band in a rehearsal space.Rae&#39;s concept for the video wass based on Bridges&rsquo; lyrics for Bad Bad News. &ldquo;I wanted to complement and bring to life his ideas,&quot; she says. &quot;In this case we showed how Paloma&rsquo;s story, being catcalled and rising up against the harassment would work well for the song&rsquo;s message. Women are really turning bad news into something good. Leon loved the idea of propelling the momentum of this movement.&rdquo;Steve Annis&#39;s photography was graded by Ricky Gausis at MPC in LA.&nbsp;&ldquo;The shots captured reality in a beautiful, raw way which allowed Paloma and Leon to dance freely and really be in the moment,&quot; says Rae. &quot;Ricky&rsquo;s grading heightened the shots - the red of Paloma&rsquo;s trench coat was enhanced to make it even more vivid and beautiful; the underpass was made even darker and grittier.&rdquo;Gausis says he was keen to enhance the simplicity of the shots. &ldquo;I wanted to make it so that the images looked like they&rsquo;d been loved, but nothing too crazy or heavy. I also wanted to enhance the grainy and dirty element of the locations, for example, accentuating the starkness of the underpass.&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Rohan Blair-Mangat paints a picture of Jamaican art and culture in this short documentary-style clip for Jay-Z.Bam&nbsp;sees Damian Marley give Jay-Z a tour of the music culture of his homeland in this beautifully shot portrait film - including a visit to Tuff Gong, the legendary Kingston-based studio where his father Bob recorded his albums.&nbsp;Mixing candid shots, interviews and more composed and choreographed moments, the promo sees Jay-Z continue his recent prolific output while also testing the boundaries of the music video format. The narrative is compelling and whilst the song soimetimes takes a back seat, the audience is gaining a deeper understanding of its roots. &nbsp;

PAULi manifests in several incarnations in Rohan Blair-Mangat&#39;s video for The Idea Of Tomorrow.It begins with the unmistakeable voice of Idris Elba reading a poem that serves as an introduction to the visuals that follow, in which PAULi performs snatches of different songs in various guises. At the start, he&#39;s&nbsp;a parachutist hung from a lamppost, before becoming a cyclist with wings roaming the streets and finally&nbsp;playing keyboards on a rooftop.And throughout, Blair-Mangat intermittently reveals another PAULi character,&nbsp;who lives in the smoke-filled forest, with the girl of his dreams. The whole effect is dreamlike and evocative, and a fine showcase for an intriguing new artist.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Run The Jewels take on the law in this psychedelic, politically-minded video from Brian Beletic.Never strangers from social or political commentary, Run The Jewels take a stab at police corruption with this line-up scenario that seems destined to pin the crime on them. We watch on as police manipulate the situation so that the witness has no choice but to lay the blame squarely on the duo. The walls melt in around them as the police try various hilarious and ridiculous tactics to frame them, although that&#39;s possibly something to do with the tab of acid they drop at the start of the video.The video makes a serious statement whilst not taking itself too seriously, and that tactic manages to keep any heavy-handed political statement feeling charming and fresh. Plus the VFX work to make a room full of Killer Mike and El-P clones is a treat.

Chris Hewitt follows up his experimental animation-based promo for Clark&#39;s&nbsp;<a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2014/11/20/clark-winter-linn-christopher-hewitt" target="_blank">Winter Linn</a>&nbsp;with something very different for the techno&nbsp;stalwart and Warp Records legend&#39;s To Live And Die In Grantham. And it also reconfigures&nbsp;some familiar elements in a refreshing&nbsp;way.&nbsp;With a young man striding purposefully&nbsp;through a windswept&nbsp;trailer park in a English coastal resort, closely tracked by Steve Annis&#39;s camera, it immediately establishes a sense of impending threat. But that early sense of spine-tingling tension transforms&nbsp;into something more.. well, spiritual.&nbsp;With excellent&nbsp;choreography by Holly Blakey, young actor/dancer Lawrence Harp&nbsp;brings the euphoria of the dancefloor to the back end of beyond - Jaywick in Essex, in fact, rather than&nbsp;Grantham. It&#39;s the result of a local shaman blowing smoke into the back of his head, and it&#39;s a sight to behold. Marvellous stuff.&nbsp;
