Furthermore, he is also taking part in a group therapy session.These spin off into dark, twisted vignettes - a trippy house party and taxi journey - presumably flashbacks to what led him to into therapy. But then things get weirder. What actually is real in D4vd's mysterious world?"We had a really tight turnaround on this video," says producer Alex White. The full spectrum of human emotion is on display in a small photobooth, in&nbsp;Sayna Fardaraghi's evocative promo for Tom Grennan.&nbsp;The video for Grennan's Here sees the pop star as a DIY handyman, fixing and sorting out an aging photobooth, as a variety of different characters enter and exit, each with their own stories and purpose.[imgtoken data:1]There are romantic couples, friends, strangers, self-conscious prom queens, robbers...&nbsp;each taking centre stage in their own stylised vignettes.&nbsp;With energy and emotion packed into the concept - all tied together by several quickfire montages of still images, which expand upon the characters - this is an impressive&nbsp;debut pop video by Sayna Fardaraghi, who recently signed to Forever.[imgtoken data:2]"I've always wanted to create an intimate connection between complete strangers through shared memories, moments and experiences," says&nbsp;Fardaraghi. "A&nbsp;photobooth became the perfect&nbsp;microcosm&nbsp;for that for me. It's something so simple yet so effective&nbsp;and hasn't been often explored cinematically.[imgtoken data:3]"The photobooth in the music video is a room that experiences the good, the vulnerable, and sometimes the bad. It's that ephemeral moment that we've all had at some point in our lives, and bringing that to the screen accompanied by Tom's incredible song, his energy and the array of featured talent has been a pleasure to work with.&nbsp;"I couldn't have asked for a better array of talent and crew to bring this to life.&nbsp;It brought so many folks together and was packed with beautiful on-camera surprises.[imgtoken data:4]"When I spoke to Tom we discussed how it should be a range of scenarios and emotions that are more&nbsp;real&nbsp;than fictional, exploring more dark moments and not just all light and frivolous. I went through the scenarios I had in mind and made sure they're&nbsp;all at some point relatable and 'real life'&nbsp;than pure fiction and otherworldly."One of my favourite parts came when discussing the development of the peak of the song with my DOP Charlie Knight. We spoke about how integral the photobooth&nbsp;flash needed&nbsp;to be, and went through a series of tests with different bulbs to find the perfect one&nbsp; - I&nbsp;mean perfect colour, brightness intensity, flash size, etc. My goodness was it so worth it!&nbsp;[imgtoken data:5]"The trickiest part was the peak of the song and aligning the images as closely as possible. If you freeze on the hands you'll find that the next frame matches it as closely as possible, but still shows a different moment frozen in time. This took a long while to perfect, but truly has paid off and is such an integral part of the music video. Big thanks to Toby Heard our editor who was a dream to work with!"

Kelvin Jones has directed the video for Aitch's&nbsp;My G, featuring Ed Sheeran - taken from the Manchester rapper's recently released debut album -&nbsp;where the majority of the video budget was donated to the Down’s Syndrome Association.The stripped-back promo centres around Aitch writing a letter to his younger sister, Gracie, reflecting on their relationship and the love he has for her, and in the video he is&nbsp;positioned in front of an old-fashioned television set displaying images and memories of him and his sister growing up. Ed Sheeran features as an animated illustration, singing&nbsp;the lyrical verses of the song.The promo was filmed on a day-long shoot at the Langdon Down Centre, the home of the Down’s Syndrome Association Charity. The Centre opened in 1868, as a home and place of education for people with learning disabilities. The centre broke boundaries and stigmas at the time of it’s opening, it is therefore significant that is the setting of this promo, which talks of acceptance and unconditional love.&nbsp;“I have a close relationship with Aitch in and out of work, and it was a huge privilege to work on this song which is dedicated to his sister, who we all know and love," says Kelvin Jones. "It was a pleasure to bring this visual to life and try new things at the same time - this was my first time working with animation and I enjoyed it a lot, I will definitely be doing that again.”&nbsp; &nbsp;

Directing duo Mr. Mr. - that's (Mr.) Ato Yankey and (Mr.) Jack Ker - have created an grittily atmospheric portrait of life in the hometown of rapper KiLLOWEN.&nbsp;The track Bar Fights &amp; Poetry is something of an ode to the KiLLOWEN's past, and Yankey and Ker, and DoP Rik Burnell, have captured the essence of the experience with a mixture of performance portraiture and still life photography, shot in the artist's hometown of Hayes, London.The video celebrates the town and culture which moulded the artist, explores the notion of subjectivity, finding beauty in unexpected places and questions our perception of the conventionality within commonly lived experiences.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]"The initial inspiration of the video stemmed from the track’s cover art, a portrait of KiLLOWEN in front of a scaffold-wrapped building," say the directors. "Glitter spills out of what would otherwise be, the darkest parts of the image and a chalkboard that reads 'Bar Fights &amp; Poetry'."This duality instilled the video’s theme, and the fisheye lens it was shot on, provided us with the beautiful circular motif [which] threaded throughout the video."That&nbsp;circular theme includes an array of portraits of round objects - from wheels to&nbsp;dartboard, fry-up plate to ecstacy pill, and more - intercut&nbsp;with 360 and fisheye lens shots, and the rapper's reflective performance in locations around the town. It all works really well&nbsp;to bring those opposing forces in the songtitle together.

Chris Fowles directs a poignant promo for Cavetown's Fall In Love With A Girl, featuring&nbsp;Beabadoobee.The video sees the artist - real name Robin Skinner - create a series of narrative setups in a dollhouse, using small figurines and a selection of to-scale props. One of those small figurines follows the song's lead - they are placed in a conventional&nbsp;heterosexual relationship; but each time Cavetown's character returns to the doll's house, they have mysteriously turned away from this stereotypical set-up.&nbsp;Then a turning point changes the course of the narrative - triggered by the arrival of Bea, when Robin is absent. The figurine can then embrace the&nbsp;same-sex relationship they dream&nbsp;of.[imgtoken data:1]Fowles shows impressive storytelling craft in making this all work. He approaches it in an&nbsp;an accessible, artistic way,&nbsp;and DoP Terrence Wilkins' superb cinematography - both in and out of the dollhouse - elevates the entire project. The performances of the artists also strike&nbsp;the right note.&nbsp;&nbsp;"I was so excited when this brief came in,"&nbsp;says Fowles. A young woman pours the ashes of&nbsp;her beloved late mother into her running shoes and leaves her suburban home - wielding a pole vaulter's pole - in a race against time...Hard Drive Gold, the latest release ahead of alt-J's fourth album The Dream (out on Feb 11th)&nbsp;has a video that follows in the tradition of the band's consistently excellent track record in visuals - particularly those that put a different spin on dramatic suspense. In this case, it comes from a new directing duo, consisting of&nbsp;an alt-J bandmember and his partner: Newman-Wallace are the band's singer and guitarist&nbsp;Joe Newman, and&nbsp;choreographer Darcy Wallace.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;We follow the young woman - played by Ellie McCartney - as she drags the pole from her garage, and then pounds through nearly empty suburban streets with it, as if she is on the longest-ever pole vaulter's run-up. Brock Neal Roberts directs a chilling black comedy about urban youth in his latest collaboration with&nbsp;Jeshi.The video for Generation, the rapper's pin-sharp critique of a troubled society,&nbsp;explores the complex issues facing the youth of today - from drugs to violence&nbsp;to&nbsp;an unhealthy reliance on digital technology -&nbsp;cleverly encapsulated in a fly-on-the-wall aesthetic.&nbsp;From a vantage point high above the ground, the camera settles on a series of&nbsp;unfolding narratives, before quickly panning away and seeking out the next moment, involving one or more early-teen boy engaged in activities more usually associated with young men, or to Jeshi himself as on-the-spot commentator.[imgtoken data:1]The concept is lived out by a group of young boys, who light cigarettes for strangers, throw&nbsp;rocks at takeaway food delivery riders&nbsp;and ignore parents whilst engrossed in their phones.The cyclical nature of the concept is cleverly rounded off in the end scene, where the boys begin to throw rocks at a random neighbour's house, and the perspective switches from third person to first person, proving that we aren't only witnesses to the problems facing society, but very much a part of the tapestry.&nbsp;
