The third song released from Benjamin Clementine's forthcoming third studio album&nbsp;is accompanied by an intriguing&nbsp;video directed by Curtis Essel. It's as&nbsp;individualistic and experimental as the artist's music.In the video for Delighted, Benjamin takes a gleaming vintage 1960s Rover to a sports ground. But not before donning a black Panama-like hat - which will become a recurring motif in this diverting narrative.[imgtoken data:1]The singer then meets fellow teammates - also wearing black hats -&nbsp;and an unusual game begins on the turf of the ground with an opposing team. It's&nbsp;like rugby, but with a hat instead of a ball.The action is painstakingly&nbsp;crafted by Ghanian-British director Essel - who's prize-winning work includes the short films Allumuah, AGYA and Almost An Adult - and beautifully shot by&nbsp;cinematographer Henry Gill. And for those who have not been acquainted with Clementine for a while, it is a wonderful re-introduction to the distinctive vision of the Mercury Prize-winning&nbsp;singer-songwriter.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

Nathan Miller directs an effervescent promo for Ezra Collective, featuring Sampa The Great.&nbsp;Shot between London and Lusaka - the capital of Zambia - the video for Life Goes On explores parallels between daily life and culture in the two cities, framed by two dancers - Lauryn Bryan in London, and Jonathan Tupaki in Lusaka - who energetically tear up the streets with breathtaking dance moves.Portrait-style shots and cutaways of the hustle and bustle of the cities - including markets, restaurants, kids playing sports, traffic jams - create a buzzing, palpable energy which underscores the bouncy track.&nbsp;It's wonderfully celebratory and upbeat, a perfect counterpoint to the London jazz outfit Ezra Collective's euphoric tune. And a terrific music video debut by Miller, recently signed to Biscuit Filmworks.&nbsp;

Stormzy is a&nbsp;mentor in this typically ambitious video by Henry Scholfield, starring the artist’s real-life nephews.&nbsp;Scholfield has had a hell of a year. His videos are ubiquitous and his name has become shorthand for a specific brand of technical flair. You know when you’re watching one. Through his work on <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2019/04/29/stormzy-vossi-bop-henry-scholfield/58451">Vossi Bop</a>, <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2019/03/07/wiley-stefflon-don-sean-paul-ft-idris-elba-boasty-henry-scholfield/57677">Boasty</a>, <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2018/01/15/dua-lipa-idgaf-henry-scholfield/51298">IDGAF</a> and <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2017/07/10/dua-lipa-new-rules-henry-scholfield/48594">New Rules</a>, the director has developed a distinct visual syntax: a free-flowing approach to space, utilised through innovative transitions, complex blocking and choreography. Big budget grime videos are a hotbed of digital and practical effects, but the breakneck speed of this video is so impressive, even the famously feral YouTube audience have sat up to pay attention. A popular comment reads:&nbsp;“Director: Enough camera angles? Stormzy: AHHHH ISIT!!!!!”&nbsp;Quite. The video was shot by regular collaborator Kanamé Onoyama, and edited by Thomas Grove Carter at Trim.

Massive Attack&rsquo;s haunting new video for&nbsp;Come Near Me sees&nbsp;Kosovar actress Arta Dobroshi and British actor Jonathan Aris in an&nbsp;ill-fated stand-off.Written and directed by Ed Morris, this has the sense of mystery and inevitable doom that&#39;s completely characteristic of the band and their videos. The tension is there from the start, as the&nbsp;couple face each other, a few feet apart, within their home. Then as he advances upon her, she retreats. And this action simply goes on, from intereior to the streets outside, thorugh tunnels, woods and finally to the sea. And we know what will happen next.Shot in a single day in various locations around&nbsp;Hove on the English south coast, afficianodos of Massive Attack&#39;s body of work will note the references to the band&#39;s history, most obviously in the audio snippet of Unfinished Sympathy in arguably the video&#39;s most sinister sequence. And there are also echoes in the concept of one of the classic Massive videos of the 1990s, Walter Stern&#39;s video for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbe3CQamF8k" target="_blank">Angel</a>.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]Post on the video took place at The Mill in London, and as 2D Artist Nina Mosand explains,&nbsp;&ldquo;This was a lovely project to work on, as Ed [Morris]&nbsp;has an eye for beautiful framing.&nbsp;The edit of the promo has a beat and suspense that makes you want to find out what&#39;s going to happen next. All of the effects the team added were seamless and hidden, with the intent of maintaining this element of suspense and tension.&quot;The biggest shot we worked on was the overhead road-crossing scene. We had to ensure our two hero characters appeared to be in the middle of the road by timing the cars from different plates so that that it felt as though they were actually there, making the cars drive behind them and matching the movement of her skirt to that of the cars.&quot;
