Pedro Takahashi directs a tongue-in-cheek footie-themed video&nbsp;for indie-rock band Hotel Lux.&nbsp;Playing out in split screen for almost the entire video, the video for National Team presents a simultaneous juxtaposition of 'real' vs 'imagined' scenarios, bringing to life a football fantasy and a rowdy crowd of supporters.And the video 'recreates' in a charmingly&nbsp;rudimentary fashion, some of the most notorious moments from the Beautiful Game's&nbsp;most prestigious, now sadly tarnished tournament."Whilst keeping in line with the self-deprecating tone of the song, I also wanted to tap into the underlying sense of melancholy in the lyrics that explore the theme of having dreams, whilst constantly falling short of them," Takahashi explains.&nbsp;

Pedro Takahashi directs a slow-burning&nbsp;reflection on city life,&nbsp;exploding into a sequence of brilliant blurry colour,&nbsp;for Real Lies.&nbsp;In the video for DiCaprio, we see vocalist&nbsp;Kevin Lee Kharas take a&nbsp;late night taxi ride through London, reminiscing on his old hedonistic lifestyle. As we move from night to day, the camera turns on the city. We go from dark to light and from the past towards the future.Mixing subtle, drawn out takes and a more frantic, slow-shutter dreamworld, the video reflects the binary quality of the duo's music, and the dichotomy between the past and the future.[imgtoken data:1]"The video explores the fast paced, electric nature of London, and our ability to get lost in it," says Takahashi.&nbsp;"Thematically, we wanted to explore the idea of hedonism and excess and the inevitable need to eventually relinquish that lifestyle."The video also functions as a sort of ethnographic exploration of London as it is, here and now - the buildings, bridges and people that exist in the city - blurring the line between fiction and documentary."

Pedro Takahashi experiments with multiple visual formats in his&nbsp;punchy promo for Shame.&nbsp;Opening in the middle of a field - like many great videos do -&nbsp;Takahashi plays with match-cuts and lo-fi textures to create a maximalist aesthetic, gradually building in pace as the video progresses.&nbsp;&nbsp;Mirroring the dichotomy of isolation and overexposure that is omnipresent in modern society, the group's spontaneous performance setups are intercut with a barrage of snapshots, depicting our obsession with technology and its effects upon us."I decided to explore how it is possible to be physically present yet simultaneously in multiple locations at the same time," says Pedro Takahashi. "The internet and our phones mean we are always hooked up to a global network, allowing us to be connected to people and places all over the world. It is becoming increasingly difficult for us to switch off and exist solely in the here and now. I wanted to take these ideas and have fun with them - whilst allowing the band’s inimitable energy and charisma to take centre stage."
