Pavel Brenner’s buoyant, sun-soaked promo is the perfect accompaniment to Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs' latest indie banger.In the video for Never Seen You Dance,&nbsp;we follow two girls who are studying at&nbsp;‘TEED University’, listening to the track Never Seen You Dance through shared headphones. One of them starts dancing, egging on the&nbsp;other to join her, and then it develops and builds, into a roaming dance-off the university library,&nbsp;until they are perfectly in sync.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]From a realistic premise, Brenner and his team provide a delightfully cinematic execution which takes this into somewhere special. The library location&nbsp;turns out to be the ideally spacious environment&nbsp;for the dance adventure, adding a touch of reality, and a place where the sequence can play out in a series of long takes, choreographed by Bret Easterling and shot by DoP Emmett Sutherland.Most importantly, Brenner captures the personality of&nbsp;the two girls - played by Zen Waterford and Sophie Frilot - and the palpable chemistry between them. So you are invested. Lovely work.&nbsp;

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Never Seen You Dance

A boy cycles along an eerily peaceful country road - which begins to reveal evidence&nbsp;of a pandemic disaster&nbsp;-&nbsp;in Pavel Brenner's&nbsp;remarkably timely&nbsp;video for Lorn's Timesink.&nbsp;Set in a world where humanity has been wiped out by a deadly contagion, we follow the boy (played by James Farah)&nbsp;as he dodges overturned cars and bodybags. In the face of this catastrophic situation, he remains impassive, treating this new&nbsp;world, where nature is reasserting itself over humanity, as an adventure.&nbsp;Brenner's second video for Lorn - following his co-directing credit on the award-winning <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/07/22/lorn-acid-rain-r113/35599" target="_blank">'zombie-cheerleader' video for Acid Rain</a> - was shot by&nbsp;Christopher Ripley, and has a reflective&nbsp;quality that normalises&nbsp;the horror, achieved through drawn out takes and abundant natural light.&nbsp;

And when a young man arrives at this girlfriend&#39;s suburban house, the parents are away, and he&#39;s about to be quietly stunned by surprising performance.Appropriately enough&nbsp;for a song called In Camera, it&#39;s the craftsmanship and beauty of everything on screen that really makes this special.&nbsp;The cinematography by Chris Ripley is pristine, the location is almost breathtakingly Lynchian. And there&#39;s a chemistry between the actors, Charlie Patton and Shawn Denegre-Vaught, which makes this operate in a very enjoyable area between deadpan humour and erotic promise.&nbsp;And to top it all off.... there&#39;s synchonised swimming. What more could you possibly want?&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

Pavel Brenner directs a gripping&nbsp;tale of revenge&nbsp;for Split, Brodinski&#39;s latest collaboration with Peewee Longway,&nbsp;with echoes of&nbsp;Drive&nbsp;and&nbsp;Baby Driver.&nbsp;A young driver-for-hire must transport&nbsp;a slumlord and his enforcer from one bodega shake-down to the next. But before the job, he has some work done on the car&#39;s soundsystem - adding&nbsp;a rack of bass speakers in the back. And during the ride, he gradually turns up the bass.&nbsp;Like a&nbsp;modern day Robin Hood-meets-Drive, the anti-hero traps the bad guys - and we find out what effect the pressure caused by high volume bass can do to the human body. It&#39;s a fun ride, delivered with lethal economy by Pavel Brenner, beautifully shot by DoP Christopher Ripley.
