Steve Stamp plays a lonely guy compelled to rebel against authority - in the form of a bumptiously self-important security guard - in Duncan Loudon's delightfully absurd accompaniment to Signal From The Noise, the first release from Canadian jazzers Bad Bad Not Good's new album.Over the track's psychedelia-influenced nine-minute duration, Stamp finds imaginative ways to rile his small-minded arch-nemesis - played by Michael Armstrong -&nbsp;in a Docklands-style open space&nbsp;where definition of private and public is notably blurred.&nbsp;His piece de resistance is the&nbsp;accurate puppet version of the guard to the space, provoking a predictably furious&nbsp;reaction.[imgtoken data:1]Shot on 16mm, with a natural grade of Oliver Ford's cinematography by Connor Coolbear at ETC, Loudon has applied a&nbsp;very contemporary look to a film that's really&nbsp;in the ballpark&nbsp;of classic silent comedy.Steve Stamp channels something of both Chaplin and Jacques Tati in his performance as the deadpan rebel railing against small-minded officialdom. Will Hooper kicks off the New Year with an impeccable promo&nbsp;for Rag’n’Bone Man’s&nbsp;All You Ever Wanted.&nbsp;Visualising the song’s social commentary on overpopulation and gentrification, Hooper presents the idyll of a pristine model village, bringing his trademark charm and wit to the table.&nbsp; As the track progresses however, the layers are peeled back to reveal the reality hidden beneath: an unhinged dystopia playing&nbsp;out in live action.Every detail in the video had to be meticulously planned out through a series of animatics and storyboards. This took place weeks prior to shooting, in order for the model village set build - led by Jennifer Kidd - to work with the matchframe scenes in the live action.This attention to detail has paid off - the video is a stunning and unexpected take on very important themes, with an unforgettable aesthetic and visual style, which perfectly complements Hooper's recent steps into the bizarre and uncanny.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]

Sports Team's flamboyant frontman Alex Rice joins forces with a&nbsp;cheerleading squad, delivering an entertaining diatribe to some surprised teens, in&nbsp;Emilie Norenberg's indie-musical&nbsp;for Here's The Thing.&nbsp;The action takes&nbsp;place in a school&nbsp;gym, where cheerleaders bound in to interrupt some listless sports activities, and then joined by Rice who pulls&nbsp;off his own distinctive dance moves.&nbsp;Switching between choreography and band performance, the video has a free and unabashed energy throughout. And here's the thing... Rice finally&nbsp;hands over to bandmate and songwriter Rob Knaggs for&nbsp;an invigorating recall of the main lyrical points, in the song and video's manically hyperactive climax.&nbsp;&nbsp;Norwegian director Emilie Norenberg does a great job in her first UK video commission in allowing the band&nbsp;to shine as performers within her cinematic concept, aided by choreographer Sara Green, DoP Ollie Ford, and the impressive&nbsp;contribution of the Mana Cheer Squad.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Rashid Babiker, who&#39;s first video was the excellent promo for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2018/10/15/jorja-smith-your-own-rashid-babiker/55494" target="_blank">Jorja Smith&#39;s On Your Own</a>, now directs Jorja with Maverick Sabre. They are two strangers who have an everyday, but quietly powerful&nbsp;encounter.Maverick plays the cab driver who picks up Jorja as his fare. The song Slow Down, and their performances, plus the graphic touches that Babiker provides allows you to take in the world and feel the atmosphere gradually building between the pair.It ends, in an intriguing way, with a bond seeming to appear between them - and then it&#39;s gone, probably forever. A resonant little cinematic episode, and a fine showcase for both artists.

Duncan Loudon&#39;s video for Flohio&#39;s 10 More Rounds won him a Newcomer award at the UKMVAs last month. And now his reunion with the London rapper is a more than worthy follow-up.Like <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PWuc5iguUY" target="_blank">10 More Rounds</a>, the Wild Yout video is a fantastic vehicle for the talents of a&nbsp;mesmerizing performer. Flohio is a star in the making, and Loudon makes all the right calls in bringing her charisma and her brilliant lyrical flow (she&#39;s not called Flohio for nothing) to the screen.Flohio prowls through less predictable but authentic&nbsp;aspects of London&#39;s urban landscape - the scrubby grass banks now allowed to grow wild in it&#39;s post-industrial corners. Loudon mixes up his formats, and the superb use of digital fallout and datamoshing FX takes it to the next level.A terrific video&nbsp;that comes with a promise of great things to come from both artist and director.&nbsp;
