Fred Rowson combines the advertising and music video worlds in this comedic hybrid for Yorkshire Tea.&nbsp;Giving an eccentric, tea-driven spin to the traditional 'holiday' video, we see a young character (played by George Kent) packing his bags for Ibiza, choosing to take 10kg of Yorkshire Tea with him, in place of everyday essentials.&nbsp;Packed full of slick transitions, graphic effects and greenscreen hilarity, it's a big change of tone for the brand, and Rowson does a brilliant job in ushering in this new style, in collaboration with ad agency Lucky Generals.[imgtoken data:1]“My favourite ads are the ones that get really, really specific about some small detail of life, and blow it up into something epic - and the creatives at Lucky Generals absolutely nailed that in this spot," says Rowson."From the client to the creatives to my HoDs and cast, we were all on the same page about how good this could be. Bailey Tom Bailey explores an obscure&nbsp;underground gambling ring in his promo for Folly Group.&nbsp;The video for&nbsp;I Raise You (The Price Of Your Head) starts normally enough - with a simple performance in a gloomy garage - but when two of the band members decapitate the other pair, things start to go South.The two heads are pitted against each other, forced bite and fight their way out of the situation, until the tables are turned.&nbsp;With a deadpan vibe and hilarious performances, the video is an amusing yet&nbsp;absurd&nbsp;way to spend four minutes - and the music is pretty damn good too.&nbsp;

Rudá Santos's video for Ross From Friends,&nbsp;for the electronic DJ’s new single The Daisy,&nbsp;blends a reverence for speed-cubing competitions and a bittersweet twist worthy of a sci-fi classic.We are transported through a trippy time-warp to an unassuming park, where a young girl discovers a Rubik’s Cube and a timer on a bench. Her passion for ‘speed-cubing’ ignited, we then follow her on a journey where she works to master her skills.Our young heroine progresses to a speed-cubing competition,&nbsp;battling through to reach her goal in time. As she wins the competition, however, viewers are confronted with a surreal twist...&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]Blending an admiration for speed-cubing&nbsp;with the unexpected ending, Rudá Santos also employed 3D animated sequences to bookend the film and reinforce the sci-fi elements. In order to capture authentic, realistic performances, he also chose to cast real Rubik’s Cubers in the promo - including Katie Mouchan-Davies as the main protagonist.

Denisha Anderson directs a powerful state-of-the-nation vision of inner-city London to accompany the towering collaboration of those veterans of dance and grime, The Bug and Flowdan.The video to Pressure - the second single from The Bug's new album&nbsp;Fire&nbsp;-&nbsp;begins with an intro scene designed by Anderson to reflect the opening lyrics,&nbsp;in which we see distorted images of&nbsp;Boris Johnson and Priti Patel&nbsp;and crowds protesting,&nbsp;before cutting to Flowdan. His powerful performance is delivered against the backdrop of brutalist architecture, creating the feeling of being boxed-in within the harsh concrete setting. Eventually he takes over the screens previously monopolised by politicians and protest footage.[imgtoken data:1]Anderson intersects Flowdan's down-the-barrel performance with shots of the him and The Bug on the staircase of an inner London tower block, and&nbsp;of an urban landscape bereft of people - with the exception of two characters running away from camera, as if from an unseen threat.The video was shot across East and South London in a day, with the intense edit that follows perfectly complementing the track. The result, from the director with videos for Oscar Jerome and Wu-Lu to her credit,&nbsp;is something that feels both contemporary and timeless.[imgtoken data:2]“The claustrophobic energy was used to give space to those in estates, living upon one another and repeatedly ignored by those in power,” explains Anderson. “In choosing these locations, Flowdan becomes the voice of the people."Hence the reason for him taking over TV screens, because now is the time to listen... Martyn Thomas directs an impressive animated promo for Dutch DJ and producer&nbsp;Sander van Dijck - aka&nbsp;San Holo.&nbsp;The visual for Black And White is made up of thousands of 2D rotoscoped frames, starts as a series of simplistic line drawings, before exploding into a succession of breathtaking collage images, packed full of texture and colour.&nbsp;A tremendous visual feat, the craftsmanship evident in each moment is awe-inspiring, and the concept as a whole reflects the yearning soundscapes in the track.
