Niall Trask takes John Brydon, aka Eyes Of Others, out into the depths of snowy Norway&nbsp;for New Hair New Me, the first of three&nbsp;videos he's directed by Trask for the Edinburgh-based purveyor of electronic pop.Brydon gamely marches through a series of spectacular landscapes, including struggling through deep snow, whilst clutching his mini-keyboard and lipsycing the charming electronic pop track, before finally arriving at the forecourt of a rural petrol station. It's the first of three videos for Eyes Of Others by Trask - all shot in Norway."This shoot was the second coldest of the three and I needed physiotherapy afterwards," explains Brydon. "A highlight for me was throwing a mild-mannered strop towards the end of the last day on set - somewhere in Norway - after being asked, yet again, to trudge through knee-deep snow and run along various icy roads as the twilight looked especially good. “'Who gives a shit about the light', I said under my breath. Niall asked me if I was alright. Nice touch that I thought. "It took me back to a time when I was an extra in a T-Mobile advert where I was told I would be last in the queue for lunch due to (the lowly status of) my role in the production. Phoebe Green creates a Monster she can spend time with, in Niall Trask's Frankenstein-inspired promo for Just A Game.&nbsp;The chromatic video blends live-action and animation to create a playfully nostalgic aesthetic, which follows Green as the creator - and then partner - of the cute Monster (Astile Doherty)&nbsp;she brings to life.[imgtoken data:1]Lo-fi and campy, the video doesn't take itself too seriously, instead focusing on the surrealism in the performances and the idea.&nbsp;A colour palette of neon greens and oranges, as well as a prism-style effect overlaid on the footage, elevates the video, standing out amongst other similar ideas.&nbsp;It's also a real departure into indie-pop, and a chance to explore a more light-hearted style than previously for Niall Trask - although it also shares a certain ghoulish sensibility with his recent video for Jamie T.&nbsp;

Edie Lawrence creates a life action cartoon for Katy J Pearson&nbsp;- featuring Paul McGann, the I in Withnail &amp; I. McGann cameos as an astonished diner in a sloppily-run café where surreal things happen. But it's mainly Katy who becomes the victim in an unravelling psycho-nightmare.The video explores the song's themes of paranoia, anxiety and intrusive thoughts, playing with perspective to mimic the effects of a panic attack. Katy is placed in a shrinking cafe of hysterical bean shovelling, age switching and glass eating customers.Known for her work in claymation on videos for IDLES and Sad Night Dynamite, the café itself resembles one of Lawrence's trademark miniature sets - with all food made from latex, clay and gelatine, while the counter, fridge, doors and frames are all cardboard - to amplify the absurdity.

Niall Trask directs an eccentric promo for South London alternative group&nbsp;SCUDFM.&nbsp;The video for One Thing focuses on a married couple travelling around in a vintage French ambulance, in quite possibly the bleakest road trip ever committed to film.&nbsp;&nbsp;Their relationship is the definition of apathetic, with little more than a shared glance and mutual understanding between the two. He is hooked up to a can of Fosters via IV drip, and she feeds him yoghurt on the side of a dusty dirt road... But all of this comes to an end at their final destination.&nbsp;Brilliantly gloomy and bizarre, the film's success rests on the performances of the cast - played by two of the group's members - and Trask's idiosyncratic direction.&nbsp;

Niall Trask brings a vintage feel, and a hint of a nautical ghost story,&nbsp;in his atmospheric video for&nbsp;Nadine Shah's Trad.&nbsp;Shah plays the captain and sole crew of a vessel at sea - who is also evidently&nbsp;a bride. And it turns out she is not alone.&nbsp;The abstract imagery has a hint of a narrative, just enough to tease viewers into their own readings of the concept, but it's very much open to interpretation.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Rob Jarvis brings a gritty and textured style to the aesthetic, paying homage to vintage cinema with the film stock and traditional lighting setups.&nbsp;Deeply visceral in a somewhat understated way, the haunting concept and isolated location help elevate the sense of drama&nbsp;and mystery, highlighting&nbsp;Trask's skill in building suspense through character.[imgtoken data:1]
