Britt Lower - the rebellious, enigmatic Helly in Apple's TV drama&nbsp;Severance -&nbsp;takes on another challenging role in Allie Avital's video for The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.Lower plays a wife who is constrained by&nbsp;her sterile homelife and&nbsp;monotonous relationship with an uncommunicative husband. It's eleven years since Sam Brown's first video for Adele. Now for Oh My God he has supercharged the elements that made that video a slow-burning masterpiece.[imgtoken data:1]Once again, a performance by Adele - now mature, so much more self-confident - is framed within a series of vignettes that represent the elements of the song. But this time these individual parts of the vision are brought together, all appearing&nbsp;within&nbsp;a single extraordinary camera movement.With the beautifully choreographed flow of characters and objects, the repetition of individuals on screen - primarily&nbsp;Adele herself - Brown has employed motion control camerawork at a level of sophistication and complexity that has been rarely achieved.But if this video is driven by it's concept, it never loses sight of the primary purpose - display the star quality of Adele. This is a stunning, virtuoso combination of&nbsp;artist performance with filmmaking skill and invention.

Shot just before the pandemic hit and the lockdown came to New York, Run The Jewels collaborated with Brian Beletic and&nbsp;Vanessa Beletic to&nbsp;create&nbsp;an anti-capitalist blockbuster for Ooh LA LA, the duo's collaboration with hip hop legends Greg Nice and DJ Premier, and the first single from the upcoming album RTJ4.Featuring&nbsp;a legion of dancers, a fleet of hot air balloons, cameos from&nbsp;Greg Nice, DJ Premier, and Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha, what sets this apart from virtually all other sumptuously-produced hip hop videos is its central, revolutionary&nbsp;concept. Cash money&nbsp;is no object - not as a signifier of wealth, but because it no longer has any value whatsoever.This is the party to end all parties - to celebrate a 'post-money' world, where everyone can survive&nbsp;without the green stuff, so they can pile it high and burn the lot. Vincent Haycock has directed this understated yet quietly powerful short film for the U2 track Song For Someone, starring Woody Harrelson as a prisoner who is being released from the relative security of jail after years of incarceration,&nbsp;back into the&nbsp;outside world.With camerawork by Steve Annis, the core of the video is a single shot of&nbsp;the increasingly emotional Harrelson leaving the confines of prison, passing through the gate and meeting the person who&#39;s there to take him away - his daughter (played by the actor&#39;s real-life daughter, Zoe Harrelson), who greets him with an awkward handshake, and monosyllibic responses to his tentative comments.&nbsp;&nbsp;It&#39;s subtly played, and fully believable. AG Rojas&#39;s ambitious and arguably controversial video for Run The Jewels&#39; Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck), featuring Zack de la Rocha from Rage Against The Machine, addresses the controversy over American police brutality towards the African American community by imagining it as a one-on-one conflict&nbsp;between two individuals - the white cop and the black citizen.It&#39;s beautifully crafted, with amazing cinematography by&nbsp;Michael Ragen.&nbsp;It&#39;s also a surprisingly&nbsp;ambiguous exercise, in which the personalities of the actors (Shea Whigham&nbsp;and&nbsp;Keith Stanfield)&nbsp;and the extreme&nbsp;physical demands of their roles - has an inevitable impact on what we&#39;re seeing. It&#39;s not quite a case of mutual hatred, and in fact, there is no &#39;bad guy&#39; here. It may seem to run&nbsp;counter to the fierce polemic for which RTJ&#39;s Killer Mike and El-P (to say nothing of De la Rocha) have become renowned.&nbsp;But they say it gels with their views that&nbsp;it&#39;s the whole system, rather than rogue individuals, that is the problem.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;This video represents the futile and exhausting existence of a purgatory-like law enforcement system,&quot; says Killer Mike&nbsp;&quot;There is no neat solution at the end because there is no neat solution in the real world. &nbsp;However, there is an opportunity for dialogue and to change the way communities are policed in this country. &nbsp;Salutes to AG Rojas for his unique take on the subject matter and to Shea and Keith for giving us their all and bringing it to life.&quot;[imgtoken data:1]

Sir Paul&#39;s reflections on the start of his relationship with John Lennon gets a thankfully non-literal but parallel interpretation by Vincent Haycock in the video for Early Days.It captures&nbsp;the energy, excitement and&nbsp;vibrant creativity of a group of kids getting together to play music and becoming a band. The era is also the same&nbsp;as when McCartney met Lennon&nbsp;- the mid to late 1950s. But Haycock has transposed the story of the origin of The Beatles to the cradle of rock&nbsp;&#39;n roll, in the Mississippi Delta, where the director spent a month scouting locations.He directed the performance element with McCartney in Los Angeles, where Sir Paul jammed with a group of veteran blues musicians including Del Atkins, Roy Gaines and Lil&#39; Poochie - plus his pal Johnny Depp, appearing (very briefly)&nbsp;in his third Macca video. But its certainly the dramatic element, beautifully photographed by Evan Prosofsky, that resonates.&ldquo;It&#39;s a memory song for me, about me and John in the early days,&quot; McCartney said in an <a href="http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/see-paul-mccartney-jam-with-johnny-depp-in-early-days-premiere-20140707" target="_blank">interview with Rolling Stone</a>. &quot;But Vince came up with this great idea: Instead of having young lookalikes of me and John walking the streets of Liverpool, guitars slung over our backs, and literally acting out the song, what if it was any two aspiring musicians?
