A &ldquo;trippy ode to awkwardness and all things nervous&rdquo;, Hugo Jenkins&#39; video for Maribou State&#39;s Nervous Tics is a thoughtful and stylish&nbsp;exploration of neurosis and suppressed emotions.Each scene exploring the different ways that fear and nervousness can manifest themselves in the body and also in the imagination. &ldquo;Repeated cuts are used to reflect on how repetitive and jarring nervous thoughts can be&rdquo; says Jenkins, &quot;Interrupting the flow of the film in the same way this kind of internal monologue might interrupt a moment of calm.&rdquo;The song itself is about &quot;the low-lying panic of modern life&rdquo; explains vocalist Holly Walker, &quot;We&rsquo;re all on our phones getting terrible news headlines vs. hyperreal Instagram images livestreamed into our brains, and it&rsquo;s making us jumpy. Plus, it&#39;s a damn catchy tune.

Jamie Delaney is on something of a hot streak at the moment, following up his video&nbsp;for French artist&nbsp;Fakear with this new&nbsp;offering for London-based electro-rock hybrid band Modestep &amp; The Partysquad.And his video for Rainbow reflects the sample used in the track, highlighting the undeniable truth that the original Rave Generation are now deep into middle age - and like the main character here, they&#39;re feeling very nostalgic for their clubbing heyday. This one is certainly going to press a few buttons.
