Modestep & The Partysquad 'Rainbow' by Jamie Delaney
Cat Velez - 3rd June 2015
Jamie Delaney is on something of a hot streak at the moment, following up his video for French artist Fakear with this new offering for London-based electro-rock hybrid band Modestep & The Partysquad.
And his video for Rainbow reflects the sample used in the track, highlighting the undeniable truth that the original Rave Generation are now deep into middle age - and like the main character here, they're feeling very nostalgic for their clubbing heyday. This one is certainly going to press a few buttons.
JAMIE DELANEY:
"I really wanted to create something that reflected the track's old-school sample, so I thought: 'why not make a film about a guy who is having a mid life crisis?'
"He opens up a box of tapes and flyers from his hardcore days and rediscovers his youth."
