Studio RM have announced that award-winning colourist Myles Bevan has joined the company as Senior Colourist.Myles joins&nbsp;Studio RM&nbsp;having worked at Time Based Arts for the last seven years, where he developed his craft under the mentorship of Simone Grattarola. In that time, he has&nbsp;cultivated a diverse portfolio across fashion, advertising and music videos, where he has become&nbsp;one of the most popular colourists working in London.His extensive portfolio of work in music videos in the past year or so includes a trilogy of videos for Rina Sawayama directed by Ali Kurr, videos by Samuel Douek for Little Mix and Yonaka, Elliott Gonzo-directed videos for Meduza and Enter Shikari, Frank Lebon's UKMVA-winning video for Pretty Sick's Human Condition, and many more.His fashion film work includes campaigns for&nbsp;for Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Levi’s, and Gucci. He has worked with directors Ian Pons Jewell, Isaac Lock and Phoebe Arnstein, and on commercials for Virgin Atlantic, Quickbooks, Coca-Cola and TikTok, among others.&nbsp;In 2021, Myles was awarded Best New Colourist at the Kinsale Sharks.An upbeat and positive presence, Myles is known for creating a friendly and easy-going experience in his grading sessions. He is joining the London office of Studio RM, the post production studio that has gained a reputation for its artistic, high-end approach to to colour grading and finishing for&nbsp;for film, print, and digital, with teams in both London and New York.Studio RM Founding Director Robert Moore says that Myles Bevan&nbsp;will&nbsp;play a key role in the studio’s continued commercial global growth.“We have been watching and admiring Myles for years,” says Moore. “His portfolio has grown to include a strong mix of work with talented directors and DOPs. Samuel Douek continues his collaboration with&nbsp;Yonaka, following the action-packed video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2023/02/06/yonaka-panic-samuel-douek/80251" target="_blank">Panic</a>, by directing&nbsp;the first of five visualisers for the Brighton band's forthcoming EP.All the visualisers were conceived as a single body of work, each one stripped back to single setups with stark simple set design. A motion control robotic arm was used to allow Douek and team to seamlessly cut between various chaotic setups as continuous shots.

Kassandra Powell directs an absorbing comeback promo for Bimini, which shows that you can find glamour in the most unlikely places.&nbsp;The&nbsp;video for Rodeo opens with Bimini on a mechanical bull, shining bright as lights refract from the&nbsp;abundance of reflective monochromatic textures.&nbsp;Quickly bringing the concept back down to Earth, we realise this whole setup is in a typical British pub, and the punters are as about as apathetic to Bimini's performance as they come. But whilst most glare&nbsp;disapprovingly as Bimini continues to do her thing, one character breaks out of their passive state to get absorbed into the otherworldly trance of the music.&nbsp;The contrast of glossy pop concept and&nbsp;stoic public is a brilliant visual dynamic, and DoP&nbsp;Luke Dryden's cinematography captures the perfect balance of these two opposing styles.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

Peter Cadman directs a steamy choreography-based promo for Darin.&nbsp;The video for Satisfaction sees lead actor Zach Zucker load up an anachronistic VR machine with coins, and dive into a world of his most sensual fantasies.&nbsp;Inside the dreamworld, we see Darin perform across multiple raunchy vignettes, with plenty of choreography and movement to amp up the energy. The use of colour and projected graphics adds another layer to the visual, creating an otherworldly environment where imagination is king.&nbsp;

Fran Lobo self-directs a dark, alluring promo for new track All I Want.&nbsp;The video details a dystopian trip through the inner psyche, punctuated by enigmatic, desaturated imagery and a hauntingly ethereal aesthetic."This piece was written as a subconscious plea to the Gods to feel a sense of belonging, importance and worth in a world I felt increasingly alienated from," Lobo explains about the creation of the track.&nbsp;This sense of existential wonder is blended into the visuals, which play out in an almost transcendent way, venturing through a twisted and dark terrain until we finally reach the other side.

Hector Aponysus directs an evocative promo for Petite Noir, featuring Sampa the Great.&nbsp;The video for Blurry sees the artist - real name&nbsp;Yannick Ilunga - perform in an industrial setting, whilst a series of experimental vignettes play out on-screen.&nbsp;Shot in 16mm black and white, and inspired by the spirit of 70's performance artists such as Carolee Schneemann, Marina Abromović and the work of William Kentridge, the film attempts to capture a sense of Petite Noir's interior and exterior experiences of the world, contemplating the meaning of shadow projection and evoking visions of claustrophobic unease.Beautifully abstract with a refreshingly inventive aesthetic, it's a brilliantly creative collaboration between the artist and director - who won the Best Live Video prize at the UKMVAs last October.&nbsp;

Jordan Rossi directs a high-drama, glam rock-inspired promo for Adam Lambert's cover of Bonnie Tyler's bombastic classic.Rossi helms&nbsp;an effervescent&nbsp;visual for Lambert's take on Holding Out For A Hero, featuring a cast of bedazzled musicians, hidden behind glitterball helmets,&nbsp;who eventually strip to reveal their true, unique selves.&nbsp;From the pastel backdrop through to the styling and makeup, the video is a throwback to the glamorous excess of the 1980's, and is perfectly suited to the track.[imgtoken data:1]"The idea behind the video is to throw away homogeneity and celebrate individuality, whatever form that may take," explains Rossi.&nbsp;"Adam is the perfect collaborator. We've shot together before, so had a shorthand going into this one. But he was great at really driving ideas forward. He wanted to do something fashion-orientated with a glam rock and camp twist.&nbsp;When researching the video, Rossi found himself inspired by some of the all-time greats in the industry.[imgtoken data:2]"I did a lot of visual research for this video with photographers like Jean-Paul Goude being a big source of inspiration for the editorial setups," he says. "We also gave a cheeky nod to Robert Palmer's legendary, and often imitated, videos [for Addicted To Love and others] but again with our own camp twist - with glitterball wearing robots."At every stage of the video Adam and I sought to subvert traditional conventions of music videos, fashion and pop iconography to create a piece of work that was fun, tongue-in-cheek and expressive with an incredible cast."
