Mighty Oaks - Seven Days (Director's Cut)

Matt Lambert&#39;s&nbsp;trilogy of films for German rock legend&nbsp;Westernhagen follows the progress of &#39;Alphatier&#39; (Alpha Dog) on his relentless&nbsp;rise, eventually&nbsp;overcoming the father who turned him into a beast.&nbsp;&nbsp;This&nbsp;Oedipal tale is an evolution of Lambert&#39;s past three years of making films following the youth of Berlin, and the first time he&#39;s had the chance to make a film that, due to the huge popularity of Westernhagen,&nbsp;could resonate with a mainstream German audience.&nbsp;As the East of the city is usually favored by younger Berlin-based filmmakers, Matt set this film in West Berlin in an attempt to tell a story that plays with the deep tensions that exists in a city where up to three generations have experienced very different worlds and social moralities.&nbsp;Shooting over three days in Schöneberg, Friedenau and Potsdam Lambert created an 18-minute long epic and also worked with his second unit to create seven other videos, that function as smaller stories parallel to the main narrative. He also combined seasoned actors with ones who&#39;ve never been on screen before, workshopping their roles with the actors&nbsp;over a span of a few weeks.&nbsp;

Maybe we should&#39;ve waited until&nbsp;Valentine&#39;s Day to post this. The fact is that despite the likely&nbsp;language barrier,&nbsp;this video for German band Revolverheld&nbsp;directed by Paul Gerwien&nbsp;is almost ridiculously affecting and emotional.&nbsp;And very romantic indeed.&nbsp;&nbsp;Revolverheld&#39;s live performance of the song Ich lass für Dich das Licht an (which translates as&nbsp;&quot;I&#39;ll leave the light on for you&quot;) becomes a very special event for a couple - organised by the guy to provide the spine-tingling soundtrack to his proposal of marriage to the girl. And this isn&#39;t dramatized - it&#39;s done for real. So quite probably the first genuine marriage proposal captured in a music video. Unless you&#39;re a total monster, you&#39;ll need a hankie.&nbsp;

Revolverheld "Ich lass für dich das Licht an" English Version

Tim &amp; Joe travelled to Berlin and the fascinating abandoned themepark Spreepark in the old Eastern sector of the city, for German indie outfit Sizarr&rsquo;s Run Dry, to create this video that sets up an atmosphere and framework of a post-apocalyptic tale involving a strange community of wildly dressed youths.
&ldquo;Spreepark was amazing,&rdquo; say Tim &amp; Joe. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s got an insane history all tied up with the GDR and drug smuggling. There&rsquo;s definitely a documentary in that place, if the scary security guards let you in to tell it that is. The shoot was awesome fun, if pretty damn cold &ndash; although you wouldn&rsquo;t know it by the kids. Their excitement seemed to make them impervious to the blizzard we had them working in.
&ldquo;Huge thanks to Jannis our PM and also Matt Lambert for all their help getting the shoot off the ground. They provided us with a lovely and very talented crew who really nailed every aspect of the shoot. They also provided us with some very enjoyable post shoot venison and schnapz party. Rock and roll!&rdquo;
