Joseph Delaney explores the world of Techno Goth - an subversive London club scene celebrating self-expression in fetishwear to a soundtrack of industrial noise - in this illuminating short doc.&nbsp;Part of Nowness&rsquo; ongoing&nbsp;series on underground scenes&nbsp;around the globe, Delaney&#39;s film bears witness to this tribe dressed in latex and Moschino gimp masks, featuring performances from dance noise duo Naked and DJ Judith Klempner.It also features&nbsp;voice overs from some major techno goth icons &ndash; Lee Adams, Yang Li and Lewis Burton - revealing that the ethos of the Techno-Goth culture&nbsp;is to be non-judgemental, and therefore far less intimidating than it may seem from the outside looking in.

Fujiko Nakaya&#39;s remarkable &#39;fog sculpture&#39; called London Fog, recently&nbsp;exhibiting at London&#39;s Tate Modern and experienced by thousands of visitors, has inspired a mesmerising short film - the directing debut of&nbsp;Ilona McIlwain.It features the compelling&nbsp;72 year old Japanese actor and performer Min Tanaka, responding to the enveloping mists of London Fog with a display of controlled physicality and emotion that has your heart beating a little faster.The impact is intensified by the lighting effects of Shiro Takatani from Japanese art collective Dumb Type, and a searing, minimalist soundtrack by Ryuichi Sakamoto - composer of the scores for The Revenant and Ghost In The Shell.&nbsp;The overall effect is stylishly cinematic - almost Kurasawa-like in its simple intensity.&nbsp;

Following his first video for&nbsp;<a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/02/05/marina-and-diamonds-im-ruin-markus-lundqvist" target="_blank">I&#39;m A Ruin</a>, Markus Lundqvist&#39;s new Marina and the Diamonds&#39; video for&nbsp;Forget has him shooting in the studio, playing with controlled light.&nbsp;It&#39;s an interplay of&nbsp;opposites:&nbsp;a&nbsp;circular stage split in two has Marina Diamandis&nbsp;singing alone on one side, and with her band&nbsp;on the other. Alternating between white and black attire,&nbsp;she is sometimes shrouded in&nbsp;darkness and other times cast under a white&nbsp;light. The simple set-up is driven by glamour close-up&nbsp;shots of Marina&#39;s performance, staring down the camera.&nbsp;

Markus Lundqvist's sombre and intense&nbsp;promo for Interpol's My Desire&nbsp;takes us into the increasingly tormented and drunken haze of a man – played by Frank Grillo, from the movie Warrior – while propping up the bar, with Interpol as the house band.&nbsp;With its neo-noir visuals and creative post elements, the character's hallucinations lend well to the introspective mood of the piece.And director&nbsp;Markus Lundqvist, previously an award-winning Flame op with The Mill NYC,&nbsp;has now joined Knucklehead for music videos, commercials and content. Executive producer Mary Calderwood says, “My Desire demonstrates Markus’ stylistic flair and marks him out as a visually distinctive storyteller. We are very excited about his potential for future films with Knucklehead.”
