A hypnotic beat draws out a crowd for an old-school block party&nbsp;in Malia James' video for Bryce Vine.&nbsp;A bouncy bassline introduces the visual, with various passers-by tapping their feet and moving their hips, as the music semiconsciously takes over their bodies. Every step, bounce and jiggle hits the beat, and the whole town is feeling the music.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Corey C Waters experiments with camera movement, mixing whip-pans and handheld shots to create the frenetic vibe the track calls for. The repetition of certain shots helps build&nbsp;to a climax at the end of the video, with editor&nbsp;Nick Rondeau masterfully pulling off a crescendo of dancing, partying and a raving good time.&nbsp;

Intimate movements between couples in their bedrooms also feature in the video, like their own form of interpersonal dance, which perfectly compliments track&#39;s&nbsp;melancholic mood.&nbsp;In a statement to Rolling Stone about the video, Malia explained how she was inspired by&nbsp;Malian photographer Malick Sidibé. &quot;I&#39;ve always been a massive fan of Malick Sidibé&#39;s work and have wanted to pay tribute to him since his passing last year. Taking Dev and Bryndon&rsquo;s ideas and merging my love of Sidibé, I wanted to explore the concept of creating a fictional, vintage time and place similar to the confident and carefree spirits that Sidibé has documented.&rdquo;

A run-and-gun forbidden love story set on the streets of Tokyo laced with some gorgeous ad-hoc imagery is the visual accompaniment to Someone That Loves You by Honne and Izzy Bizu.The story behind the production of this video seems nail-bitingly tense. In 24 hours, director Malia James managed to cast her actress via Instagram,&nbsp;and call&nbsp;in her lead actor from LA - giving him just three hours to get on a plane to a country he&#39;d never set foot in before. So any narrative-enhancing looks of bemusement on his part are probably quite genuine.All this Eastern guerilla-shot loveliness is intercut with a massively colourful performance from Honne and Izzy Bizu that all manages to coalesce with the narrative in a rainbow haze towards the video&#39;s conclusion. Not bad at all for a day&#39;s work really.
