Daniel Alexander Harris&#39;s video for Plested tells the story of &#39;Leon&#39;, a young man who is dedicating his life to his art - but also working as a kitchen porter to make a living, juggling his dreams with reality.In fact, it&#39;s the supporting cast that do as much to turn this small tale into a direct hit: the boy&#39;s&nbsp;ballet teacher,&nbsp;the abusive café boss, an embittered symbol of failed dreams, and the waitress who adores him, are all more fully drawn that he is.This is the first part of a two-part narrative for Plested, so its going to be fascinating to see how the excellent video for Back Up Plan pans out.&nbsp;

The latest Pixies release Magdelena is accompanied by a weird and wonderful video by Judy Jacob, who is best known for designing&nbsp;stage visuals for the tours and TV appearances of artists including Queens of the Stone Age, Stone Roses - and the Pixies.It was from her preference to shoot visuals and textures through a lens rather than digitally which led her to collaborate with London performance artists - including Nando Messias, who plays the titular lead&nbsp;character in the Magdelena video, experiencing visceral encounters in the underpasses and tunnels of London, and some other surreal sensory pleasures...&nbsp;Judy says:&nbsp;&quot;Magdalena runs late for a job interview with Jesus, knowing seven devils must be dealt with before she arrives&hellip;&quot;
