Boy meets girl, they have a&nbsp;kid, get annoyed with each other and end up splitting, just for the process to repeat when the kid reaches adolescence.The poignant message is wrapped in a layer of quirky imagery, with subtle visual effects allowing the three characters in tandem.The execution is top-notch, and a clever way to get around social distancing and the various challenges that have carried over from the year so far.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;

Two Door Cinema Club are back with a beautifully wacky form of lyric video from Max Siedentopf, who&#39;s taken inspiration from every single sentence of the band&#39;s new song Talk, and has created into over 90 scenes of colour-coded, off-the-wall visual wit.From using frontman Alex Trimble&#39;s&nbsp;head as a broom, to creating a six legged-man horse, and moving cheerful gymnasts into complicated formations throughout, the video gets literal, goes surreal, and is essentially a refreshing, breathless blast of tongue in cheek entertainment from beginning to an end.&nbsp;

Henry Scholfield gets back together with Dua Lipa for a kind of sequel to the MVA-winning, near-billion viewed global smash New Rules.&nbsp;Once again Scholfield visualises the singer&#39;s internal argument with a consummate display of choreography and camera trickery. And this time there are, appropriately, two Duas. There&#39;s the stronger defiant Dua and her softer confused counterpart, figuring out how to deal with a lingering ex. And both are flanked by mirror-imaged dance squads.The constantly moving camera brilliantly merges the two groups, in a video that Scholfield conceptualised with Moseart - that&#39;s Paul &lsquo;Stromae&rsquo; Van Haver and his creative director Luc Junior Tam.&nbsp;&ldquo;I wanted the conflict between Dua&rsquo;s two alter-egos to become an emotional exchange in their movement,&quot; says Scholfield.&nbsp;&quot;I had the chance to work with the fantastic Marion Motin, to create a choreography that is something you sense/feel rather than just watch. Dua and I devised a way to make her two alter egos opposing, and she did an amazing job at personifying them in her performance, without missing a step... literally.&ldquo;For the concept, we wanted to embody the sense of empowerment in the track, whilst going beyond the literal breakup context. A visual of the internal struggle, showing the two sides of Dua&rsquo;s emotive state, like an argument with someone you love. The strong Dua at first berating then eventually persuading her weaker alter ego that they both don&rsquo;t give a f***.&rdquo;

Rollo Jackson&#39;s promo for Hot Chip&#39;s Started Right&nbsp;sees a girl in an empty bar singing the tune on a little karaoke set-up, with&nbsp;some characteristically random karaoke-style videos playing alongside the lyrics,&nbsp;featuring old cartoons, footage of sea-life,&nbsp;surfers and beach babes.As&nbsp;bits of her audition tape&nbsp;start to creep in to the mix, the boundaries between genres, and the relationship between interacting and viewing blur and fall away.&nbsp;&nbsp;A karaoke/lyric video that becomes something else altogether.&nbsp;

In the spirit of the times, Rizzle Kicks and Corin Hardy have made a very sexy video for Skip To The Good Bit - but where they tend to go raunchy in the US, the Brits go saucy&nbsp;- even if the inspiration comes from John Hughes&#39;s 80s&nbsp;high-school movies...&nbsp;&nbsp;It&#39;s unlikely to go down well with the UK educational establishment, but RK and Corin have concocted Britain&#39;s&nbsp;horniest school &nbsp;- mainly (but not entirely) down to Jordan and Harley brewing up something suspiciously similar to a mind-altering drug in the science lab.&nbsp;Corin takes full advantage of Rizzle Kicks&#39; impishness - and willingness to take on comic character roles - to make this full-on sex comedy (remarkably its the first video he&#39;s directed in more than a year as he&#39;s been working full-time on getting his first feature off the ground - it shoots early next year).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And&nbsp;there&#39;s lots of BTS photos and video&nbsp;at <a href="http://www.corinhardy.com/blog/" target="_blank">Corin&#39;s blog</a>.&nbsp;

It&#39;s perfectly suited to their charming, comedy-friendly persona -&nbsp;but there&#39;s a serious side&nbsp;to this too.You can&#39;t tell from watching the video, but Rizzle Kicks, Jamie Thraves and his production company <a href="http://www.hsilondon.co.uk/" target="_blank">HSI London</a>, worked with&nbsp;<a href="http://www.gothinkbig.co.uk/" target="_blank">GoThinkBig</a> - the website that helps young people get a foot on the career ladder - and from thousands of applications&nbsp;gave over 60 young people the opportunity to gain work experience on a&nbsp;big music video shoot (the Behind The Scenes video is coming here soon).&nbsp;And kudos too, to O2, who sponsored the project. And for a video that also takes aim at the desocializing effect of our obsession&nbsp;with mobile phones...&nbsp;

James Blake&#39;s cover of Joni Mitchell&#39;s classic A Case Of You gets an intense essay on a relationship - and the many different shades of the female protagonist - starring the luminous and compelling Rebecca Hall.&quot;This was an important video for James,&quot; says Seb, &quot;Joni Mitchell went to one of his gigs at the Troubadour in LA and when they met backstage she gave his cover her blessing. A rare compliment apparently. Out of respect for her we both felt that the film should capture the honesty and emotional depth of the song.&quot;There&#39;s a purity to James&#39; cover, so I wanted to do something simple and stripped back. One room, one actress and effectively one shot. It is basically a random collection of memories that are joined together to create a single experience. I wanted to be able to see the lighting and emotional transitions happen in-camera rather than cutting from one scene to the next, so it was quite challenging to shoot in a day.&quot;In many ways it&#39;s a mixture of theatre and cinema, so Rebecca Hall seemed to be the perfect choice given her background in both disciplines. She&#39;s an amazing actress and I knew that she would be able to create a complex and compelling character. A nod to Joni Mitchell herself.&quot;&lt;/p&gt;
