KLVDR directs a palpably luxurious video with a brutal twist, for Skepta's return with Nirvana.Set in a stately home, Skepta plays a butler, second-in-command to the head butler (played by Terence Vincent),&nbsp;who provides a special service to the beautiful lady of the house (played by Marlene Marie) - in the boudoir.[imgtoken data:1]Things get darker when J Balvin makes his appearance, tied to an upturned chair in a dank basement. It's the first suggestion that things may not turn out so well for Skepta either.With a combination of the grand setting, supporting characters and the casting of a glamourous femme fatale, KLVDR has graduated to a fully cinematic experience, with elements of Bond. Ultimately, the ending is blood-soaked and downbeat - like the better Bond movies. But perhaps surprisingly, Skepta's fate is not to emerge as a winner, but to be replaced.

Paloma Faith and director David Wilson lament the gentrification of London in brilliantly feisty fashion,&nbsp;in the wonderful&nbsp;promo for Gold.&nbsp;Decked out in a trademark whimsical dress and radiating heaps of&nbsp;energy, Paloma skips and dances down an East London market and into a building site, dangling from an excavator, kicking down doors, and just having a riotous time with some of her fellow, equally colourful&nbsp;residents.&nbsp;Paloma is magnetic as always, the supporting cast - all dancers in the Theo Adams Company - are great too, and DoP&nbsp;David Foulkes matches her energy in sweeping crane shots and fluid camera movement. It all adds up to sheer entertainment. Absolutely marvellously fabulous.[imgtoken data:1]

Ali Kurr visualises a sexy Nineties fever dream in her video for Bree Runway's Little Nokia.&nbsp;With the song name-checking&nbsp;one of the most iconic - and indestructable - phones ever on the market, the promo sees Runway being interrupted by a&nbsp;Nokia 3310 every time she tries to get intimate with her man.&nbsp;Cutting to a grungy garage, a spiked mohican-sporting Bree hangs from the roof, before mounting a mechanical bull, artfully refashioned to&nbsp;resemble a giant Nokia. It's a feast of nostalgia with an edgy and dark undertone, and the reference to 1983 body horror Videodrome in the final scene is a perfect way to polish off the concept.&nbsp;Strikingly shot by DoP&nbsp;Amelia Hazlerigg, the aesthetic is perfectly balanced between commercial and quirky, with just a touch of creepy to keep viewers on their toes.&nbsp;“For this video I wanted to pay homage to the MTV greats," says Kurr, "But blend and package them together so it feels totally fresh and unique.” Job done.

So she brings these bewigged fops to life, plying them with champagne, in good hostess style - with an added deadly ingredient.DoP&nbsp;David Wright contrasts the idea of tradition and structure with a range of off-kilter angles and stylised lighting, and Willoughby brings out top-notch performances from both Morgan and her young accomplice. And those doomed historical characters are definitely off-the-wall.&nbsp;&nbsp;

But another kind of fierce emotion is on show, this time with a physical manifestation.Clothes fly from the air, falling into the shadows as Young's eyes are fixed on the camera. The hypnotic performance is punctuated by whip pans and unusual textures, which DoP Sam&nbsp;Meyer&nbsp;utilises to great effect."There's&nbsp;a&nbsp;running theme&nbsp;and a&nbsp;series of poltergeist-like moments that happen throughout the video which are inspired by the last third of the song which has&nbsp;elements that feel a little 'spooky'," says The Rest's Alex Motlhabane. "We wanted to match that trajectory and have things go a bit off-kilter and hallucinatory towards the end."
