Experiencing loss and grief are the key elements in Nightmares on Wax new video for the smooth melancholy track Isolated,&nbsp;directed by photographer and filmmaker Ade Coker and fashion designer Tolu Coker.The video takes an intriguing approach to the subject of mental wellbeing and the stresses that come in family life and relationships. The central female character leads us through various episodes, effectively her memories, stemming from the loss of a relationship.[imgtoken data:1]The directors employ various techniques as she navigates these memories, using dance to express her emotions, and then,&nbsp;intercutting to and from infrared photography in the dramatic scenes, to represent internal battles that the characters are dealing with.&nbsp; This is a very distinctive and heartfelt piece of work, with nods to Carrie Mae Weem's kitchen table series, from&nbsp;Ade Coker and Tolu Coker, two exciting new multi-disciplinary artists.

Spencer Young creates a rich display of vivid images to symbolise positive messages of joy, aspiration and strength in Obongjayar's Try.&nbsp;The director, who has recently signed to Hello Love, has created a series of portraits&nbsp;of the London-based Nigerian&nbsp;singer-songwriter for the first release from his upcoming debut album.&nbsp;Some of the most striking imagery shows Obongjayar and his brightly, regally dressed&nbsp;dancers standing still and strong - as if in defiance of Young's backdrop of evocative, billowing skies.In contrast to a sense of imposing majesty, drive and ambition that is evoked in those moving still life portraits is the innocence of a young boy who observes Obangjayar&nbsp;on his TV. The boy provides the emotional heart of the video, dancing alone in a moving representation of joy, and then transported into the regal zone.From a man waiting alone in the wings for a curtain call, to a young boy peeking out from behind the net curtains, the video touches on themes of isolation and perseverance as Obongjayar sings 'It's no guarantee our lives will change, but all we do is try'.&nbsp;

The literal meaning is ‘her ways match my ways, her water matches my water.’ That chemistry is captured perfectly in the video. It’s about two people who share the same energy, dreaming underwater through hallucinations."The alluring visuals flicker between&nbsp;intimate vignettes in the water, from bathtime romps to solo soaks in the tub, an amalgamation of memory and fantasy. Taking influence from Emir’s lyrics as well as his Turkish heritage we set the video in water - from a bath to the deep blue - where Emir meets a mirage in a red veil - loosely based on Turkish bridal attire."The promo focuses on that electric moment when you think two people are coming together but they don’t quite make it, the moment the mirage disappears and Emir realises he is alone in the bath once more."Leaning in to his heritage which is so beautifully captured in the melody of the track, we wanted to attempt to recreate Turkish ebru art around his body in the bath - it’s a metaphor for Emir’s world becoming trippy and ethereal, a marker point for us before he is dragged under. For me, this was an amazing experience in how much water can change the dynamic of shooting.”
