Dizzee and his pals are gathering on the streets of London, all hooded-up, and the message is clear from the BBM message he sends at the start: RIOT!But not quite like the one from a couple of&nbsp;years ago. Dizzee has got together with Ian Robertson to make his video for Love This Town (featuring Teddy Sky) to toy&nbsp;with viewer expectations, and produce a comic riff on the 2011 which manages to be&nbsp;wacky, warmhearted and,&nbsp;most importantly,&nbsp;very funny.Just when you think that this group of masked marauders must be about to cause mayhem in London&#39;s mean&nbsp;streets, they commit another outrageous act of boy scout-style neighbourliness.&nbsp;Dizzee may be the only UK artist at the moment with&nbsp;the charm, credibility and arguably the wit to pull this off. He&#39;s found a perfect collaborator in Ian Robertson, who showed what he could do with comedic narratives for Duke Dumont and Skream, and once again gets maximum comedy value from various set-pieces. Particularly good is a feelgood replay of the mugged Asian student incident from 2011. LOL.&nbsp;

In the spirit of the times, Rizzle Kicks and Corin Hardy have made a very sexy video for Skip To The Good Bit - but where they tend to go raunchy in the US, the Brits go saucy&nbsp;- even if the inspiration comes from John Hughes&#39;s 80s&nbsp;high-school movies...&nbsp;&nbsp;It&#39;s unlikely to go down well with the UK educational establishment, but RK and Corin have concocted Britain&#39;s&nbsp;horniest school &nbsp;- mainly (but not entirely) down to Jordan and Harley brewing up something suspiciously similar to a mind-altering drug in the science lab.&nbsp;Corin takes full advantage of Rizzle Kicks&#39; impishness - and willingness to take on comic character roles - to make this full-on sex comedy (remarkably its the first video he&#39;s directed in more than a year as he&#39;s been working full-time on getting his first feature off the ground - it shoots early next year).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And&nbsp;there&#39;s lots of BTS photos and video&nbsp;at <a href="http://www.corinhardy.com/blog/" target="_blank">Corin&#39;s blog</a>.&nbsp;

Ellis Bahl, best known for the gripping suspense of his UKMVA-winning video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2012/04/19/%E2%88%86-alt-j-breezeblocks-ellis-bahl" target="_blank">Alt-J&#39;s Breezeblocks</a>, ventures into more dreamlike territory for Josh Record&#39;s The War.&nbsp;In fact,&nbsp;Ellis uses&nbsp;darkness, smoke&nbsp;and a mysterious spectral figure to play off the folky intensity of the song.&nbsp;And among slow-motion explosions and ethereal imagery&nbsp;(captured by DoP Steve Annis, quite a departure for him too)&nbsp;Josh Record is haunted by a figure swathed in fabric, and immersed in a darkly atmospheric world shaped by flares of light. Corin Hardy creates an intense drama for Devlin's Watchtower - first single from the upcoming album A Moving Picture, and an interpretation of the Bob Dylan song famously covered by Jimi Hendrix - which sees the UK rapper and the track's co-performer Ed Sheeran in a whole heap of trouble. The cops are closing in, Devlin's girlfriend (played by Jaime Winstone) is keeping them at bay - but in the getaway car, Ed has a very nasty secret...
"The urgency and desperation in the track, presented a Butch Cassidy &amp; The Sundance Kid-like image in my mind - two guys, no getting out of what they've gotten involved in, but against all odds they're going to try," Corin explains. 
"I wanted the video to feel really cinematic and took cues from the song to develop a multi-stranded crime narrative revolving around 'family' that would through a series of reveals, give a suggestion of what may have come before. I knew I wanted to put together a great solid cast around Devlin and Ed and after seeing him in Kill List, immediately wanted Neil Maskell to play the detective on their tail. Luckily Neil was very generous with us and it led to us getting Jaime, Tilly and George who were all truly marvelous to work with, not to mention the little star that is Paige Lee Ditch, in her film debut." 
There's also an extended version, which will potentially feature as an extra with the album. And of course millions of girls will need to know whether the lovely Ed lives or dies...

NME have called Corin Hardy&#39;s video for Horrible Crowes&#39; Behold The Hurricane &quot;the biggest nervous breakdown in a pop video since Bittersweet Symphony.&quot; And featuring a searing performance by actor Joseph Mawle (Game Of Thrones, The Passion, Red Riding, The Street), as a man sinking into a personal hell as he drives through the bleak landscape of the Thames Estuary, it&#39;s hard to disagree.The intensity of Mawle&#39;s performance grabs you by the throat, but it&#39;s not just gritty realism - even more chillingly his personal demon appears, for a horrible confrontation...&quot;I&#39;ve been a fan of The Gaslight Anthem for some time, so when Brian Fallon, the singer, got in touch about his new project the Horrible Crowes&#39; first release, I said I&#39;d do anything I could to make it happen,&quot; explains Corin. &quot;I wrote a simple narrative based around themes of regret, guilt &amp; redemption that I took from the Hurricane of the title. My idea stemmed from a man overcome with the first two and in search of the last.&quot;I knew I needed an incredible singular performance and wrote it with Joseph Mawle in mind. Despite having only one day off from a six week World War 1 drama to prepare for our intensive shoot, thankfully Joe agreed, and together with DOP Ula Pontikos &amp; a small band of heroes, we set off into the dark depths of Tillbury together to find a demon.&quot;I also managed to rope in my friend and regular illustration collaborator David Lupton, working alongside Alice Dupre for the said handmade animated element and like to thank Amarjeet Singh for the last minute After Effects work.&quot;

A clay, stop-animated Paolo Nutini is brilliantly integrated into the real world in Corin Hardy's hugely entertaining, beautifully-made new video for Paolo, created with the help of animators who worked on Fantastic Mr Fox. 
Big trouble is just around the corner for our malleable chap, on account of his Stone Age attitude towards the girls in the TV studio. But he ends up like putty in their hands...

"My aim with this video was to set up a situation where a clay Paolo would live in a real world and behave just like a real person. Once the viewer has accepted that, I then wanted to break the rules I had devised for myself and see what goes on when a clay Paolo just pushes it a bit too far. 
"I got very lucky with the animators. Fantastic Mr Fox had just wrapped and the lead animator Mark Waring, and Andy Gent - who built all the puppets for the film - were both available and agreed to do the video. 
"It was shot in a TV studio previously graced by Gloria Hunniford' chat show, and somehow this felt strangely fitting. We shot each take in two versions, one with a stand-in Paolo dancer and then one without. The animation was matched to the stand-in wherever possible and this helped us get the very real movement into the clay Paolo that I wanted. 
"The animation schedule was brutal. We had three weeks to animate and I pretty much moved into Clapham Rd Studios. Due to the animation needing to be composited into live action, it had to be 25 frames a second which gives the movement a beautiful rich feel, but is really tough work and there are no short cuts. 
"The post happened as we went along, and it was inspiring to see the shots come back 24 hours later bedded into the film and actually see the laborious work coming to life."

As the exhibition of Corin Hardy and David Lupton's work on the video for The Horrors' She Is The New Thing is about to open in Edinburgh as part of this year's Mirrorball at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, here is Corin's new video.
It's a very different affair - although, weirdly, they both have ballet - for the uninhibited Keith Caputo, who shows a old fashioned rock star-style fondness for cross-dressing.
