In his second video for Mick Jagger, Saam Farahmand encapsulates a chaotic world, including the stifling heat, within the nightclub from hell.&nbsp;Like England Lost, it&#39;s a metaphor, beautifully delivered.&nbsp;It&#39;s also&nbsp;unmistakeably&nbsp;contemporary. The&nbsp;paranoia, brutality and madness&nbsp;of the modern world are all&nbsp;present in the sweaty confines of the club, where Jemima Kirk plays the girl who questions the system, the clique divisions and the devotion to the godlike DJ.All this works well with Jagger&#39;s Gotta Get A Grip - a not bad at all Stones-like workout.

A supernatural couple, confined to the darkness yearn to see the light in Greg + Lio&#39;s stunning visual for San Holo.Using mythology and lore to turn any perception of light-averse beings on its head, Greg + Lio create a mind-bending world of gravity defying night walks&nbsp;on a backdrop of post-industrial brutalist architecture. The duo cleverly uses hue &amp; saturation as a narrative device - contrasting the desaturated harshness of the night time with the golden warmth of the couple&#39;s literal moment in the sun. The video itself looks to these moments of being trapped indoors through a more social lens - rather than cowering at the light exclusively we see the protagonists flee from people too. A wonderful study of very human&nbsp;anxiety through the actions of the superhuman.

FKA twigs&#39; new EP M3LL155X&nbsp;features five songs, four of which - Figure 8, I&#39;m Your Doll, In Time and Glass &amp; Patron - are accompanied by a video directed by twigs herself, that&nbsp;come together to form a single continuous 16 minute film.&nbsp;As the last of the four, for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/03/26/fka-twigs-glass-and-patron-fka-twigs" target="_blank">Glass &amp; Patron</a>, was released&nbsp;as part of the 2015&nbsp;YouTube Music Awards back in March, the collected videos in&nbsp;M3LL155X puts that&nbsp;final chapter into context. And as a whole, its a big statement on the birth of creativity - involving sex, pregnancy, pain, and ultimately liberation.It&#39;s an intense&nbsp;experience, with&nbsp;memorable imagery - and elements of humour &ndash; &nbsp;as twigs&#39; work as a director blossoms&nbsp;in tandem with her work as a artist-performer.&nbsp;That&#39;s already been recognised at this year&#39;s MTV VMAs, where her self-directed&nbsp;video <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/01/15/fka-twigs-pendulum-fka-twigs" target="_blank">Pendulum</a> is nominated, together with the Nabil-directed video for Two Weeks. Tim McCourt and Max Taylor of animating collective&nbsp;The Line have created two minutes of sheer amusement with Amaro and Walden&#39;s Joyride. With music made for the video by&nbsp;Hugo Chegwin and&nbsp;Fred Berry, it follows Amaro and Walden, two mischevious little fellas on a joyride all over&nbsp;London Town.The characters are described by their creators as &quot;two rowdy boy racer, hipster hybrids with that lads on tour attitude. As a winner of the YouTube Music Awards, creative powerhouse FKA twigs has taken the opportunity to direct&nbsp;and co-choreograph this promo for her track Glass and Patron.The unsettling atmosphere of her previous work is alive and well in the beginning of this one, which has twigs giving birth to a group of dancers, who&nbsp;then take it to the catwalk to have an intense vogue-off. Twigs watches&nbsp;diligently from her throne,&nbsp;at the helm of the troupe, and then takes over for the climax of the video.&nbsp;She doesn&#39;t plan on being upstaged any time soon.&nbsp;

At first it looks like an unlikely combination. But having Jake Nava directing the&nbsp;Arctic Monkeys new video for Arabella turns out to be a triumph.There&#39;s the sheer sexiness of it, which you what you&#39;d&nbsp;expect from Jake - the retro-styled saucy motel room party, the performance, the fact Alex Turner never looked so good. And then there&#39;s the cleverness, the film that rewinds and spools on and still somehow stays in sync. A very cool video indeed.&nbsp;
