Max McLachlan helps introduce the world to the new Birdy, in this captivating&nbsp;promo for Raincatchers.&nbsp;The video depicts Birdy as a giant, helping her younger self (played by Eleanor Hockley) navigate a world of corporate monotony and oppressive rules, blending&nbsp;semi-autobiographic lyrics with dark fantasy aesthetics.&nbsp;"Birdy is not a kid anymore," says McLachlan. "The world has known her since she was barely a teenager. She wanted a music video that would shed the dainty image of her as a naive child, but address the years of youth lost having to play grown-up in the industry."What better way to show how much she’s grown than to make her a giant?"[imgtoken data:1]Birdy drops down a miniature scale model of the office environment to the young girl,&nbsp;empowering her to see herself from a new vantage point, and gather the courage to break free and blaze her own path - whilst seeing life in a more playful way, as the child she is.&nbsp;The desaturated, near-dystopian aesthetic perfectly suits the narrative concept, and it's packed full of absorbing, emotional iconography.&nbsp;

Pedro Takahashi directs a visually striking promo for Brighton indie-rockers DITZ.&nbsp;The video for&nbsp;Summer Of The Shark explores the commodification of tragedy and violence within the context of the media, and uses experimental angles and clever editing to elevate the performance footage.Bold and inspired, the video is anchored by punchy performances and engaging vignettes, which blur the line between what we see and the truth of the situation.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]"I wanted to address how opposing news outlets can portray the same story from different angles," Takahashi explains. "How we consume information is highly subjective and how it filters through to us depends largely on the institution recounting it."By using multiple cameras to shoot the same actions I wanted to explore these ideas in a playful and aesthetically interesting way."&nbsp;&nbsp;

Charlie Sarsfield directs a boisterous&nbsp;visual for Yungblud’s latest release, Tissues.Shot in the striking Porchester Hall, the video sees the&nbsp;megastar perform to camera as carefully crafted scenes of mayhem break out around him, frozen in time.Harnessing the singer's unremitting energy, the concept explores what it feels like to be in love, and the whirlwind of emotions that come with the feeling.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]<blockquote>I wanted to represent that moment of holding your breath before taking the plunge.</blockquote>“Yungblud is one of the most interesting artists I’ve worked with for a number of reasons,"&nbsp;says Sarsfield&nbsp;"He’s infectious, and such a lovely human being, but also an artist that strives for perfection throughout every process.&nbsp;We spoke everyday in the lead up to the visual, tweaking certain bits, and introducing new vignettes as we went."I wanted the visual to portray that scary but beautiful moment of falling in love. It’s beautiful because of how special love is, but scary because you become so vulnerable. By having everyone in the video static throughout until the release for the last chorus, I wanted to represent that moment of holding your breath before taking the plunge. "The focus of the video is on Yungblud and his captivating performance but we also had to craft a bespoke and intriguing world around him without taking away from that epic performance. You could watch this video several times and notice something different which adds an extra layer of fun.”

Emma J. Gilbertson explores power and control in her breatkhtaking promo for Cody Frost.A work&nbsp;of two halves, the first section of the video for DWYSSWM, is a candy-coated dance number which feels innocent and dynamic, but this soon delves into a darker, more twisted aesthetic to represent the themes of the track, with the artist bound by ropes in the fashion of the Japanese Shibari method.&nbsp;"Inspired by the lyrics of the song, we wanted to create a video about abusive and controlling relationships," Gilbertson explains. "We decided to go for a Valentine's day-themed first half to show abusive relationships can often be hidden under sweet sentiments. In the second half of the video we wanted to reveal the true nature and insidiousness of the relationship."&nbsp;Movement is the true focus of the visual, and the vessel through which the concept comes to life, alongside bold colour schemes and frenetic camera movement.&nbsp;"Joshua choreographed the movement to be controlling Cody, with a forced smile to attempt to keep up the facade," continues Gilbertson.&nbsp;"We used Shibari as an artform to show how trapped Cody's character was, as well as vibrant lighting to power the anger of the song."
