KC Locke combines sex with VFX&nbsp;for the team-up of D Block Europe and Aitch's trippy, fantastical and&nbsp;brazen video&nbsp;for UFO.Locke throws the world of his grime stars into slick&nbsp;fantasy where two girls slip into a different dimension during a night of partying with Young Abz and Dirtbike LB and Aitch - accompanied by some comic interplay between the artists.With great work from his regular collaborators - including DoP Stefan Yap's cinematography, and the boldly colourful grade by Alex Gregory - Locke has achieved his ambitious&nbsp;vision through motion control and post FX with real aplomb. Just a few days after his nomination for Best New Director at this year's UKMVAs, he has also arguably&nbsp;expanded the limits of what is possible&nbsp;for the whole grime video genre.&nbsp;

Taichi Kimura gets together with Kano to&nbsp;present&nbsp;a sprawling portrait of East London life,&nbsp;illustrating the idea of celebration in spite of dire circumstance – and the warmth and positivity of the community it represents.The track Pan-Fried contrasts summery beats with a furious, dark undertow, and&nbsp;features a guest turn from British platinum-selling artist Kojo Funds. Utilising the variety of unique locations East London has to offer, the patchwork of vignettes come together to form a warm-hearted homage to Kano's roots,&nbsp;and are elevated by strong performances from both artists.

This time they head for the seaside town&#39;s landmark Amphitheatre arcades, beautifully captured from above. And once again they&#39;re ready to play.

It&#39;s all in the execution.Drones have been getting some bad press lately, but here you just see how spectacular the results can be when you use one properly; to tell a story in one magnificent sweeping manoeuvre.From the wide shot of Bottlemen lead singer Van McCann driving from a windswept Northumbrian coast, joining his bandmates under a big top to perform the song, to their departure in the same Land Rover, it&#39;s all captured in one skillfully operated&nbsp;move.&nbsp;Which is also highly appropriate&nbsp;for a song called Longshot.Jim Canty explains below exactly how nailbiting this experience was - and why working with drones is highly problematic. But this has turned out to be&nbsp;a showcase of why they are so amazing.

This gets a terrific interpretation in Daniel Broadley&#39;s video.Broadley presents three vignettes showing the struggles and anguish of three young people, pulled together with sisters Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas&#39;s riveting performance of the song, and their shared therapy session.And if the seriousness of their issues and evident lack of self-worth sparks our curiosity&nbsp;- and each set-up is beautifully photographed by DoP&nbsp;Ben Coughlan - the payoff is superb. There&#39;s a roar of pain that becomes cathartic, and brings everyone together at the moment when the emotion of the song is at its peak. Powerful stuff.

And of course its the contrast between their smooth moves and his goofy attempts at following them - but his eventual improvement - which makes it so watchable.A strong&nbsp;idea that wouldn&#39;t work for OK Go, but works very well for Frank Turner.
