David Knight - 8th Dec 2016

Shot in Mexico and London, the new White Lies video by the Mexican director David Pablos takes us to the same place - the bedroom. But what happens there is not entirely what we might expect.

With a variety of pairings (and more) Pablos explores the human condition - sleeping, waking up, showing a variety of emotions - from tenderness to thoughtfulness to coldness. Ultimately, as White Lies singer Harry McVeigh joins the cast, the mood is melancholic and reflective rather than arousing.

One for the head rather than anywhere else, and very nicely done.
