Gorillaz co-creator&nbsp;Jamie Hewlett &amp; FX Goby direct a super ambitious promo for new track Silent Running, featuring&nbsp;Adeleye Omotayo.The video is a rip-roaring clash of live action and seamless CGI, and sees the other members of the band help 2-D escape an unfortunate fate.&nbsp;Building upon the narrative arc of the upcoming album - in which the group are spiralling&nbsp;towards a&nbsp;day of reckoning called The Rupture - the video is an inspired mix of Disney fantasy and cult-like horror, which sits well within the greater Gorillaz canon.&nbsp;It's a big achievement, well worth all of the attention it is getting.&nbsp;

A new Gorillaz story has started - in the emergency room in a hospital in Los Angeles, where 2D is wheeled in by the cops. He's frazzled; Noodle is there, looking fraught; as is Russel, frozen in front of a TV; and there's no frickin' sign of Murdoc. But rather a lot of guest star Thundercat.[imgtoken data:1]No doubt about it, this is a very different kettle of fish to the easy vibe of Gorillaz'&nbsp;Song Machine&nbsp;project of last year. And the drama is back. So are Gorillaz in full 3D. The Ramona Flowers send people into a state of sleepy euphoria in this clip by FX Goby.The clip, which takes three mundane scenes -&nbsp;a bus ride home, a man alone at a bar, and three people sat on a couch in a blank looking room - and makes them spectacular through the literally transformative power of dance. A wonderful mashup of choreography, costume and effects help to develop the concept into unexpectedly glittering realms as the video progresses.
