Renee Maria Osubu tells the story of a grieving family, within the wider context of the Black British experience, in Dirt In The Diamond, a short film that incorporates three songs from Jords album, with the same name, performed by the artist.In the first part, we are introduced to the main characters at a family gathering at the home of the Walkers, prior to the funeral of their son, where Jords performs MoBay with Tay Iwar. It's&nbsp;shot by cinematographer Courtney J. Bennett in rich colour, with an intimacy that recalls Steve McQueen's 'house party' film Lovers Rock.That is followed by the funeral of the son - the procession behind the coffin and church service -&nbsp;shot in stark black and white, in which we hear iPray by Jords, Wretch 32 and Miles from Kinshasa. Finally, the drama is replaced by a montage of&nbsp;archive footage of Black Londoners from the 1970s to the present day - including footage of era-defining protests against racism and prejudice -&nbsp;&nbsp;as Jords performs Fist In The Sky.&nbsp;Renee Maria Osubu&nbsp;brings the personal and the political together, and interrogates the nature of grief - which one character describes as "the truest form of love" - in compelling fashion.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;&nbsp;[imgtoken data:2]&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Jords - DIRT IN THE DIAMOND (A SHORT FILM)

Thea Gajic directs a second promo for singer-songwriter Mychelle, exploring how we deal with the emotional turmoil of a breakup.&nbsp;The concept sees a young woman set up a camera in the corner of her house, just in time to capture her ex-boyfriend collecting the last of his things. From there, we see a montage of different moments - from dinner with friends through to arguments on the phone - all from the fixed vantage point the character set up herself.&nbsp;"I wanted to take the typical break-up story and use it to explore our self-obsession and what it might look like if we set up a camera to record ourselves in our worst moments," Gajic explains. "How self-aware are we? How self-aware do we actually want to be?"This question runs through the video, helping to give context to the narrative moments on-screen, and the eventual reset of the character's life, and her readiness to move forward.&nbsp;With a gentle, realistic aesthetic, it's a new spin on the breakup video, with plenty of engaging visuals throughout.&nbsp;

Hannah is ready to settle down and start a family; Chris far more inclined to retain their independence. Can they reconcile these conflicting impulses?Lambert's short film directing debut is impressive, with engaging performances by&nbsp;by Hannah Higton and Noah Granville, with outstanding cinematography by Adam Barnett.&nbsp;&nbsp;"It's about that moment in a relationship when it’s crunch time," says Lambert. "The moment when you’re at a certain age and forever feels incredibly close. When you’re not sure if you’re with the one, or if you could find another one, or if that’s a crap societal construction anyway."

MØ takes on the formidable Globe of Death on her motorbike, before being catapulted into a new idyllic world in Joanna Nordahl's dazzling video for Live to Survive.Nordahl uses a combination of spectacular action, portraiture and fiery VFX to create a visual metaphor for the sentiment behind the song that marks the&nbsp;return of the artist otherwise known as&nbsp;Karen Marie Ørsted.In the first part of this breathless video we get the all-action MØ, as two bikes revolve around inside the enclosed Globe of Death. Fredo and Dave's collaboration on Money Talks gets a tremendous visual directed by Edem Wornoo, as we follow the story of how a £50 note ended up on the rappers' extraordinary mountain of money - that they then set alight.From the spectacular beginning, things only get more impressive. Essentially, Money Talks is about our relationship with money as humans and the ways in which it reveals things about us. And this is a hugely powerful video for Friedo and Dave's incendiary track.Through the course of the video&nbsp;we move steadily backwards, and in each superbly mounted sequence, Fredo and Dave defy logic by performing in sync while the footage is clearly moving in reverse. But that is only partly about a clever visual technique. It is also a drama, where the unsavoury human behaviour that revolves around the journey of this substantial banknote is unveiled.A story of the corrupting power of money that is brilliantly told by Edem, a very impressive new directing talent.

Ehsan directs a banger for Unknown P, the world's poshest drill rapper - the creation&nbsp;of comedian Munya Chawawa -&nbsp;depicting a bombastic food fight among the vile&nbsp;upper classes.Opening with a group of well-to-do chums having breakfast, the video cuts between a&nbsp;Good Morning Britain&nbsp;parody on a TV - with Unknown P in the eponymous Piers Morgan role -&nbsp;and an unexpected&nbsp;narrative full of quirky characters and hilarious props... and plenty of fancy baked goods.Ehsan has been making an impact in commercials but here he shows that his explosive take on visual comedy is well suited to music videos.&nbsp;The film is technically brilliant throughout, with a terrific edit by Lucian Barnard. And the sound design deserves a special shoutout for capturing an anachronistic mix of old martial art&nbsp;film sound effects&nbsp;and contemporary action foley.
