There&#39;s gritty intensity, but also old-fashioned love and romance, which suits with the passionate mood and melody of Mulvey&#39;s track.

Clara Aranovich directs an emotional love story steeped in science fiction mystery for Isaac Gracie.The US-based director made the trip over to the UK to shoot a sweet, surreal story wherein all young girls seemingly in the entire country fall under some strange catatonic spell. Focussing mostly on a primary school and its pupils, we see as a young boy tries with moderate success to awaken his friend.The clip shares a&nbsp;cinematic aesthetic laid out in films like Another Earth,&nbsp;or shows like The OA&nbsp;- tapping into otherworldly ideas of ascension in a beautifully paced short narrative piece.

Fujiko Nakaya&#39;s remarkable &#39;fog sculpture&#39; called London Fog, recently&nbsp;exhibiting at London&#39;s Tate Modern and experienced by thousands of visitors, has inspired a mesmerising short film - the directing debut of&nbsp;Ilona McIlwain.It features the compelling&nbsp;72 year old Japanese actor and performer Min Tanaka, responding to the enveloping mists of London Fog with a display of controlled physicality and emotion that has your heart beating a little faster.The impact is intensified by the lighting effects of Shiro Takatani from Japanese art collective Dumb Type, and a searing, minimalist soundtrack by Ryuichi Sakamoto - composer of the scores for The Revenant and Ghost In The Shell.&nbsp;The overall effect is stylishly cinematic - almost Kurasawa-like in its simple intensity.&nbsp;

Emile Rafael has delivered this inspiring portrait of a boxer&#39;s commitment to his sport&nbsp;for&nbsp;Jamie N Commons&#39;s Not Gonna Break Me.&nbsp;Beautifully shot by Rina Yang, the video sees grainy, monochromatic footage and as well as gorgeous,&nbsp;subdued colour&nbsp;sequences of Mikael Lawal, a boxer who turned to his sport as a way to cope with his feelings of anger following the death of his mother.After a short introduction where the athlete speaks directly to the audience, we bear witness to the&nbsp;effort he puts into his&nbsp;training -&nbsp;hitting the gym, giving it his absolute all, training for hours&nbsp;and&nbsp;getting up the next day to do it all over again...
