Emile Rafael has delivered this inspiring portrait of a boxer's commitment to his sport for Jamie N Commons's Not Gonna Break Me. 

Beautifully shot by Rina Yang, the video sees grainy, monochromatic footage and as well as gorgeous, subdued colour sequences of Mikael Lawal, a boxer who turned to his sport as a way to cope with his feelings of anger following the death of his mother.

After a short introduction where the athlete speaks directly to the audience, we bear witness to the effort he puts into his training - hitting the gym, giving it his absolute all, training for hours and getting up the next day to do it all over again...
