Pavel Brenner’s buoyant, sun-soaked promo is the perfect accompaniment to Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs' latest indie banger.In the video for Never Seen You Dance,&nbsp;we follow two girls who are studying at&nbsp;‘TEED University’, listening to the track Never Seen You Dance through shared headphones. One of them starts dancing, egging on the&nbsp;other to join her, and then it develops and builds, into a roaming dance-off the university library,&nbsp;until they are perfectly in sync.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]From a realistic premise, Brenner and his team provide a delightfully cinematic execution which takes this into somewhere special. The library location&nbsp;turns out to be the ideally spacious environment&nbsp;for the dance adventure, adding a touch of reality, and a place where the sequence can play out in a series of long takes, choreographed by Bret Easterling and shot by DoP Emmett Sutherland.Most importantly, Brenner captures the personality of&nbsp;the two girls - played by Zen Waterford and Sophie Frilot - and the palpable chemistry between them. So you are invested. Lovely work.&nbsp;

Zhang &amp; Knight's video for&nbsp;Meryem Aboulouafa establishes a distinctive mood all of its own - part-Arabic, part-surrealist - to create a wonderfully evocative video for the Moroccan singer-songwriter's song Deeply.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The staging&nbsp;is a stylish set, based on an architecture&nbsp;of courtyards and quadrangles found in North Africa and across the Mediterranean,&nbsp;rendered in serene pastel shades. But within the quadrangle, crowded with people, there is another square&nbsp; - a hole into which dancers teeter and then fall...&nbsp;&nbsp;Aboulouafa is the elegant centre in this haunting&nbsp;scenario, who eventually looks into the hole and reveals its otherworldly secret. The first video by Hannah Palumbo and Linden Feng&nbsp;- aka Zhang &amp; Knight - since joining Birth for French representation is one of their most exquisite.&nbsp;

Rapper Keynes Woods tussles with his alter-ego, and the strange goings-on in a deserted factory, in Luke Tierney's impressive video for Tim Burt, from his EP Kongo Kane.With Keynes Woods running through the corridors of this abandoned building, he takes a breather, and begins performing, before we notice a second, bare-chested&nbsp;Keynes - a more playful, manic version. The work becomes a series of stylish set-pieces in a weird game of cat and mouse, showcasing the rapper's assured presence in both his guises. And Tierney increasingly employs a simple yet highly effective visual device, where the original Keynes's movement&nbsp;trips the lighting of a room between red and blue.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;With fabulous cinematography by Joel Honeywell,&nbsp;the use of composition and colour make this a properly cinematic experience, steeped in the atmosphere of horror, but confidently veering into comedy and the surreal. A hell of a ride.&nbsp;&nbsp;

In the&nbsp;video for Sad + Boring, director Nathan Sam Long&nbsp;utilises deepfake technology to land a star-studded "cast".The Black Mirror-like story follows&nbsp;Isserman, as he utilises&nbsp;futuristic contact lenses to visualise his celebrity fantasies in place of his partner. Co-starring French artist and ballerina Victoria Dauberville, the visual is a whirlwind trip into the Uncanny Valley, with haunting undercurrents and a more than slightly creepy atmosphere.The story reflects our image-obsessed society, allowing us to glitch and transform our bodies on a whim. In a first-of-its-kind, this&nbsp;form of artificial intelligence&nbsp;- most widely associated with fake news and revenge porn -&nbsp;has provided a unique opportunity for an emerging musician."Sad + Boring is about being stuck in a relationship that’s slowly diminishing you and your personality," says Isserman. "I thought celebrity deepfakes provided a great metaphor for this desire to be loved at all costs, and actually was surprised it’s not yet been explored in this way."

A group of soldiers are trapped in a harrowing version of Groundhog Day in Luke Tierney's creative video for Black Square's Coral Blues.&nbsp;The visual opens with several injured soldiers&nbsp;on their knees, wounded and exhausted. A well-dressed woman adorns one of the men with a necklace, but when she tries to do the same to the leader of the group, he lashes out in&nbsp;a violent rage. This scene repeats with different reactions, but one thing's for sure - it isn't going to stop anytime soon.&nbsp;Balancing trippy steadicam shots and a clever use of VFX, Tierney creates an authentic and believable world which is as haunting as it is aesthetically beautiful. The church location adds an onimous and cinematic sensibility, the delapidated rooms and scattered papers mirroring the theme of time going by uncontrollably.&nbsp;

Eden is vaporwave-dreaming in Projector, the latest video for the artist directed by Zhang + Knight.&nbsp;Opening in a beautiful, minimalist apartment, a slow camera movement reveals the artist sitting on a bed, washed in a rainbow of warm light. Jumping up&nbsp;and into the next room, the space is a maze of pastel colour, open plan architecture and vaporwave inspired design.As he leaves the building, the surreal sky envelopes Eden, encouraging him to move in a trance-like state, exploring the limitations of the environment and his own body.&nbsp;The space feels very much alive and almost like a character in itself, and the laser sharp focus on design and aesthetic is a perfect pairing to the track. Soft and dreamy, Zhang + Knight have created a universe that is calm and meditative, and Eden is a worthy inhabitant of that space.&nbsp;

Andreas Nilsson comes out of music video retirement for his old pal 2 Chainz...And a&nbsp;very Nilsson-esque tableau&nbsp;of fruity characters, and surreal visual gags it is too, as 2 Chainz demonstrates that he&#39;s &quot;rare, as a 2 Dolla Bill&quot;, delivered throughout, with a silk scarf on his head.&nbsp;And he gets sterling support from Lil Wayne (undergoing surreal surgery), and E40. you know you would have some good fun with those guys.VMA-winning VFX company Timber applied their visual effects and postproduction magic to the piece, while artists at&nbsp; collaborating company Kevin provided 2D viz effects for the video.

Zhang + Knight launched their music video directing career with a video for London-based rapper ATO. Now they reunite with this ambitious&nbsp;epic that spans generations, takes us from English countryside to the city and back, and&nbsp;explores&nbsp;the idea of identity through a combination of myth&nbsp;and cold reality.It starts on Dartmoor, with a boy discovering the giant stone&nbsp;head of an ancient black English king buried under the moor. The&nbsp;discovery comes to define his whole identity, as the legend of the king grows.But as the boy grows into a man, and becomes ATO, he comes to realise that his recollections of the stone head actually&nbsp;stem from his childish imagination. His biggest discovery is really about himself.&nbsp;

Luke Tierney, more commonly known as exective prodcuer and head of music at FRIEND in London, makes his directing debut with this effective one-shot video for electro-pop artist Art School Girlfriend.For Moon, the camera follows the aforementioned ASG through different rooms and scenarios in a London working men&#39;s club - the Peckham Liberal Club, in fact &ndash; which has been transformed into the Monlight Working Women&#39;s Club, where a subtle level of surrealism ensues.With sterling&nbsp;support from the team behind him, including Doug Walshe&#39;s consummate steadicam skills, it&#39;s an impressive opening salvo as a director by Tierney.
