Ryan Prout combines completely contrasting types of performance in his video for Circle OF Reason&rsquo;s Don&rsquo;t Be Still &ndash; the band&rsquo;s rocking band performance and that of Latin dancers Mario and Julia&hellip;
&ldquo;The band had done performance vids before and wanted the focus shifted off of the band for Don&rsquo;t Be Still. When we were throwing around ideas, I cut together some footage of Back To The Future&rsquo;s Johnny B Goode scene and intercut with dancing from ads to see if the idea would stick, everyone was happy with the flow of it all and doing a precut really left me with the confidence to know the idea would work.
&ldquo;We completely lucked out with the dancers, finding them via gumtree literally days away from filming, they really got the idea and pushed to make it their own.&rdquo;

Stereophonics&rsquo; frontman Kelly Jones makes his directorial debut on this video for the band&rsquo;s new single, almost twenty years into their career, and a fine job he does of it too.Taking an initially bleak, then life-affirming turn, this narrative video features a strong cast putting in some excellent performances and an interesting narrative in which a man is willing to offer a homeless man a large sum of money in order to help him with a rather dark request. It&rsquo;s a plot that plays out nicely and each character is a fascinating watch.The off-summer British coast provides a suitably dramatic background for the emotional action. All in all, it&rsquo;s really strong work by the &lsquo;phonics singer &ndash;&nbsp;who was supported by the team at Shameless. One suspects it will not be the last time that Kelly occupies the director&rsquo;s chair&hellip;

Stereophonics 'In A Moment' by Kelly Jones

Following a competition on Genero.tv to make a video for Keane's next single Black Rain, Andy Marsh not only won $5,000 but also had his entry premiered on internet music channel VEVO!

"The video was shot at an abandoned RAF base in Hampshire on a tiny budget and was only made possible by the love and dedication of the entire cast and crew who worked tirelessly with me to turn this idea into a reality".
Keane also expressed delight at his winning entry:
"We loved Andy Marsh's video for Black Rain. There's a heartbreaking sense of a young boy's dreams gone awry, a yearning for innocent times and high hopes, of love and kindness remembered in the face of violence and fear. 
Of course, I can't say whether that's what was intended at all! But either way the atmosphere of this story fits beautifully with the sense of the song, and even the sense of Strangeland as a record. 
"The ghostly and surreal mood of the video also works perfectly with the feel of the music itself - sound and visuals complement each other and give each other more power, which is the ultimate achievement for a music video."
