Director Jack Turner&nbsp;takes us on a&nbsp;psychedelic journey in his new promo for Alfie Templeman.The video for Broken opens with Templeman at a vending machine, ordering an action figure of himself, before viewers are lead&nbsp;into a colourful, whimsical world from a rather downsized perspective.&nbsp;Tying into the concept of his debut album&nbsp;Mellow Moon, the set pieces are spacey, dreamlike and vibrant, and his playful performance invites us into a carefree world which echoes the jaunty track.

Arthur Studholme directs a hilarious promo for Welshy's All For You.&nbsp;We have all had&nbsp;the unfortunate experience of making accidental physical contact with a stranger in a public place, but for this video's protagonist - played by comedian Thomas Gray - he welcomes the first touch, with a girl as they both bend down to pick something up. It could even be described as fate...[imgtoken data:1]"The concept of this video centres around that strange moment in life when one makes minor unwanted physical contact with a stranger in public," confirms Studholme. "The video explores what goes on inside our protagonist's head the moment this very thing happens to him on the bus on his way home from work."&nbsp;In fact, our hero discovers that every person - or object -&nbsp;he touches afterwards gets a starring role in his fantasies - whether it's running down the beach Baywatch-style, or throwing clay like the loved-up couple in Ghost... and what starts off as a dream becomes a nightmare.&nbsp;The resulting nonsense is absurdly mesmerising.

In Arthur Studholme's imaginative&nbsp;video for Irish singer-songwriter Smoothboi Ezra, a man made of flowers invades the home of a couple as they sleep, and soon causes emotional havoc.​The song Stuck is about the point at the beginning of the end of a relationship, and Studholme uses the powerful vision of the Flower Man as the agent of another strong&nbsp;visual device, to represent that painful moment. One of the couple is woken to carry out the intruder's bidding - which is to paint herself out of their photos. Then the 'whited-out' technique is repeated with the couple's home movie footage, where the Flower Man figure also starts to appear.Studholme fuses these graphic elements together into a very satisfying whole. It's a quietly powerful video and in this case, the fact 'it was all a dream' is no cop-out.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;&nbsp;

Three bank-robbing brides take on the world,&nbsp;in&nbsp;Chris Kirtley's latest video&nbsp;for The Pale White.&nbsp;The video for That Dress hits numerous marks of an iconic bank heist film - shot in sumptuous widescreen by DoP Curt Taylor in locations around Newcastle-upon-Tyne -&nbsp;with a few notable&nbsp;execeptions:&nbsp;the perpetrators&nbsp;are three brides in&nbsp;face masks, wielding bouquets of flowers instead of guns.&nbsp;That still gets a trio of police's armed response unit on their tales. And with the brides ultimately leading the cops into a church and, yes, up the aisle, the video builds to an unexpected and satisfying crescendo.&nbsp;This highly entertaining visual for That Dress&nbsp;follows Kirtley's previous video for the threepiece from Newcastle, for Glue.&nbsp;Excellent work.&nbsp;

Chris Kirtley directs a banging performance video for Newcastle&nbsp;rock trio The Pale White that gets very sticky indeed.&nbsp;&nbsp;"I believe the old saying goes 'All you need to create a cool music video is a paddling pool, 150 litres of molasses, three water guns, four&nbsp;tubs of black treacle and a bag of lemons...'," says Kirtely. "Okay, maybe no one has ever said that. But that's exactly what played a huge part in the video for Pale White's brand new track Glue."

Basak Erol pulls out all the stops for Nothing But Thieves' Real Love Song, creating an epic fantasy around the heartache and turmoil that surrounds love and sex in the modern world.The live action story of a love triangle is given a dreamlike hue&nbsp;in lurid neon, intercut with the band's equally dreamlike studio performance. Then the imaginations and frustrations of the protagonists are given free rein as they become animated versions of themselves in an&nbsp;alternate dimension.Erol utlised her own skills as a 3D animator, and also collaborated on the 2D animation with hugely talented illustrator and animator Raman Djafari. The end result is a&nbsp;breathless whirlwind to match the band's latest emotional piledriver.&nbsp;

Ewan Jones Morris and Casey Raymond&#39;s video for Lemaitre&#39;s&nbsp;Closer - their first together since their MVA-winning video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/08/11/leftfield-sleaford-mods-head-and-shoulders-ewan-casey" target="_blank">Leftfield &amp; Sleaford Mods&#39; Head &amp; Shoulders</a>&nbsp;last year &ndash; displays the hilarious catharsis of acting on those impulses.Even when you know exactly what&#39;s coming, this setup and punchline-style video is still be a fun and rewarding watch. Frankly, any video that manages to mix beautiful visuals with the cartoonish scenario of a strongman throwing a hapless, trumpet-playing schoolboy across a room is a huge, hilarious win.

The reflection&nbsp;itself becomes a&nbsp;projection of his psyche,&nbsp;dipping in&nbsp;and out of sync with the real Kwabs.It&#39;s a strong performance piece, where we feel the singer reliving his guilt, until the end, where&nbsp;both figures&nbsp;fall back in sync, coming to some kind of recognition of the past.&nbsp;Caviar London have recently&nbsp;signed&nbsp;I Owe Youth, following on from their successful&nbsp;debut collaboration for Rudimental&rsquo;s<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHPEUtL9QJ0" target="_blank"> I Will For Love</a>.&nbsp;Ore Okonedo, head of music videos for Caviar in London, says:&nbsp;&ldquo;After meeting with I Owe Youth I was inspired by their desire for creativity&nbsp;and ability to adapt to different musical styles. The intimate relationship of two girls takes on a surprising, surreal, and certainly unhinged dimension in the video for&nbsp;Brighton-based DJ Fono&#39;s track&nbsp;Real Joy, directed by French filmmaker Simon Cahn.In short the deep affection of two young girls frolicking in the countryside takes a violent turn - initially in jest, it seems, but then getting more and more fearsome, and blood-soaked. Not that they seem to mind.&nbsp;Cahn&#39;s video&nbsp;shows that the margin between love and violence can be very fine indeed.
