Our lives as humans play out on a massive, interwoven scale, in&nbsp;Yoonha Park's promo for Squid.&nbsp;The video for&nbsp;Swing (In a Dream) opens in an indoor sports court, where two men are playing basketball. A member of staff repaints the lines on the court whilst this happens, and a man walks across the court, seemingly disconnected from each other. This is where things really ramp up.&nbsp;An influx of people doing all kinds of activities - from the expected, e.g. walking around, to the unexpected, e.g. trying to swim - suddenly spills over into the court, and it's as if the controlled chaos of everyday life has been packed into this sports hall.&nbsp;It's truly mesmerising, frantic and slightly nervewracking, and the choreography of the whole thing must have been a huge challenge. It is, however, pulled off magically, with brilliant visual effects and an overwhelming sense of the uncanny, perfectly blending the real world and those in dreams.&nbsp;This is what it is to be a human - messy, fun and very much disorientating.&nbsp;

In a career now spanning over a decade Metronomy have made some outstanding music videos, working with directors like&nbsp;David Wilson, Daniel Brereton, Dent de Cuir and Michel Gondry. But here's a landmark moment, for their new song Lately:&nbsp;for the first time the band's frontman Joseph Mount has taken up&nbsp;directing duties himself.And, with a combination of performance, lo-fi VFX, and dry humour,&nbsp;it's very Metronomy. There's&nbsp;a nod to the '80s, and in particular the classic film Honey I Shrunk The Kids, as Mount and his fellow bandmembers emerge from the spools of a cassette tape, found by a schoolgirl in the park and brought back to her bedroom.&nbsp;But the tiny band need to be careful, especially&nbsp;when the teenager's dad threatens to squash the band...

Following his <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/news/2019/02/22/2019-brit-awards-little-mixs-woman-me-wins-best-british-video/57422" target="_blank">Brit-winning video for Little Mix</a>, Marc Klasfeld heads back to the UK and teams up with Greatcoat Films once again for this slick and uplifting video to herald the return of Emma Bunton to singing duties, with Baby Please Don't Stop.And the hugely experienced&nbsp;American director has fashioned an entertaining video about a video shoot, from the moment Emma arrives at the studio, to the wrap. A very happy one too, as she performs, changes costume, and brings her kids and husband into her day,&nbsp;with numerous cutaways to 'behind the scenes' footage, which then merges into the studio shoot, with plenty of joyful goofing around. And throughout, the artist formerly known as Baby Spice&nbsp;looks as radiant sunny as ever.&nbsp;

Mike Skinner&nbsp;aka The Streets is back, and with this self-directed video for Call Me In The Morning, it&#39;s just like old times.&nbsp;Always a great on-camera performer himself, Skinner also gets just about the strongest performances in a video from his collaborators Chip and Grim Sickers. Meanwhile, his concept is a irreverent take on the classic UKG video: Mike is having a house party around his place, which has a colour scheme that would make a goth squeal with delight.Everything is black. The food and drink are black. Everyone must dress in black.&nbsp;And only a select few are invited.Skinner has directed a few videos for other artists over the past couple of years. This one, with excellent cinematography by Spike Morris and sterling art direction by Benny Casey, is&nbsp;a cut above - probably because he&#39;s once again front of camera too.

The effect is to make everyone so eerily clammy that they appear to be actually melting.None of this can pervent the increasingly zombie-ish Krule being anything than utterly cool, and sounding very good. Loads of fun.
