Toronto-based director Lucas Hrubizna creates a groundbreaking and bewildering&nbsp;vision of a near-death experience for Sad Night Dynamite, courtesy of cutting-edge 'VolCap' technology, to introduce new release Volume II.Hrubizna has directed an interlinked series of five video shorts that takes the pop-electronic duo's fascination with surreal and psychedelic narrative into amazing new territory. It was made possible by access to the Volumetric Capture facilities at Dimension Studios in London - where SND were filmed performed, and effectively transformed into 3D models.Together with 2D plates of the band performance against greenscreen,&nbsp;Hrubizna could use this material to place them with his created CGI worlds without leaving his home studio. It has taken months of work, but the end-result is mind-boggling, as the approach is to make these worlds as harsh, forbidding, uncomfortable&nbsp;and unpredictable as possible - in accordance with the artists' brief.[imgtoken data:1]<blockquote>Each piece is meant to be a mini-fever dream.</blockquote>“SND had imagined a series of pieces taking place within some sort of purgatory - an abstract in-between place where time has dissolved," explains the director. "Having experienced a near-death event, they had seen the visuals of this project somehow reflecting the dreamlike journey from life to the precipice of death and back."I started to think of the ascending levels of Dantés Purgatorio, and loosely re-imagined them as bleak, liminal spaces from the modern world, wherein reality has exploded into harsh, digital fragments."Each piece is meant to be a mini-fever dream that perfectly loops, reflecting the endless sense of time and space in purgatory while also functioning on social media platforms, where looped video playback is standard.”[imgtoken data:2]

Can it be? A music video by Dougal Wilson? It is, and a delightful&nbsp;one at that.The video is for&nbsp;Liverpudlian&nbsp;electronic-pop&nbsp;trio Stealing Sheep&#39;s track Apparition,&nbsp;and sees the artists themselves performing&nbsp;a choreography amongst a troupe of Morris dancers, handkerchief in hand.Dougal tells&nbsp;<a href="http://www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2015/oct/07/stealing-sheep-watch-their-new-video-for-apparation" target="_blank">The Guardian</a>, &ldquo;The idea for Apparition came from the fact that the song had a mysterious, hypnotic feeling, and the fact that I&rsquo;ve always found Morris dancing slightly strange and psychedelic.&rdquo;&nbsp;Wilson had&nbsp;been wanting to revisit the English folk dance since his video for&nbsp;Four Tet&#39;s&nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fwbn_sKCVRo" target="_blank">As Serious As Your Life</a>&nbsp;-&nbsp;a mashup of Morris dance clips set to the rythm of the music -&nbsp;done in&nbsp;2003.&nbsp;He goes on to explain, &quot;Since then, I&rsquo;d always wanted to take the idea further by actually having a band learn Morris dancing themselves, and this seemed like an appropriate opportunity given the unexpected contrast of the girls&rsquo; personalities with the characters in a genuine Morris side.&quot;

Oliver Hadlee Pearch continues his acclaimed series of music videos for Jungle&nbsp;that follow a distinctive theme... First there was the precocious kid in Platoon, then the roller-skating brothers in The Heat, then the diverse troupe in <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2014/04/03/jungle-busy-earnin-jlw-oliver-hadlee-pearch" target="_blank">Busy Earnin&#39;</a>...But now it&#39;s a couple of older guys&nbsp;to show the youngsters how its done. Suitably for the song called Time, two gents of the old school - Brett Jones and Earth G - are moved by Jungle&#39;s&nbsp;funk to show off their moves, in the deserted East End boxing arena York Hall.&nbsp;Joyful, uplifting stuff - with excellent choreography by the in-demand Holly Blakey.

Dizzee and his pals are gathering on the streets of London, all hooded-up, and the message is clear from the BBM message he sends at the start: RIOT!But not quite like the one from a couple of&nbsp;years ago. Dizzee has got together with Ian Robertson to make his video for Love This Town (featuring Teddy Sky) to toy&nbsp;with viewer expectations, and produce a comic riff on the 2011 which manages to be&nbsp;wacky, warmhearted and,&nbsp;most importantly,&nbsp;very funny.Just when you think that this group of masked marauders must be about to cause mayhem in London&#39;s mean&nbsp;streets, they commit another outrageous act of boy scout-style neighbourliness.&nbsp;Dizzee may be the only UK artist at the moment with&nbsp;the charm, credibility and arguably the wit to pull this off. He&#39;s found a perfect collaborator in Ian Robertson, who showed what he could do with comedic narratives for Duke Dumont and Skream, and once again gets maximum comedy value from various set-pieces. Particularly good is a feelgood replay of the mugged Asian student incident from 2011. LOL.&nbsp;
