So I decided to take along my old Hi8 camcorder I bought as a teenager. &nbsp;I handed out the Hi8-cam to whomever was standing next to me to shoot some B-roll material. Maybe we should&#39;ve waited until&nbsp;Valentine&#39;s Day to post this. The fact is that despite the likely&nbsp;language barrier,&nbsp;this video for German band Revolverheld&nbsp;directed by Paul Gerwien&nbsp;is almost ridiculously affecting and emotional.&nbsp;And very romantic indeed.&nbsp;&nbsp;Revolverheld&#39;s live performance of the song Ich lass für Dich das Licht an (which translates as&nbsp;&quot;I&#39;ll leave the light on for you&quot;) becomes a very special event for a couple - organised by the guy to provide the spine-tingling soundtrack to his proposal of marriage to the girl. And this isn&#39;t dramatized - it&#39;s done for real. So quite probably the first genuine marriage proposal captured in a music video. Unless you&#39;re a total monster, you&#39;ll need a hankie.&nbsp;

Michael Lawrence and his DoP Björn Knechtel turn on the red-light for this video for&nbsp;Alex Zhang Hungtai, aka&nbsp;Canadian producer Dirty Beaches, plunging Alex into a long, long night of girls, bars and endless cigarettes&nbsp;for I Dream Of Neon.&nbsp;Shot in hazy, staggered shots, the video was filmed in a variety of atmosphere locations in Hamburg and Berlin. &nbsp;The shots and camera work are spot on and the drifting focus and fuzzy lighting add an interesting ambience.

Shot on the Canary Islands and in directors Justin Kruse and Maximilian Wiedenhofer's native Berlin, Leslio Clio is captured in and around the most fascinating array of scenes, that are a times life affirming, funny, surreal and romantic. 

Swearing, nudity and dancing are also included, adding some pop-soul spice. The video is a excellent mix of both footage from both high-spec digital Red Cam and characterful lo-fi Hi8, adding a little retro feel.

Producer Anna says making the video involved "vast quantities of little props, a parrot, a moped, a desert, a few costumes…and lots of fun."
