Following his&nbsp;terrific video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2020/06/25/boy-pablo-hey-girl-eivind-landsvik/65396" target="_blank">Hey Girl</a>, director Eivind Landsvik is back with Chilean–Norwegian singer/songwriter Nicolas Muñoz - aka Boy Pablo -&nbsp;for Honey.&nbsp;Boy Pablo performs across a series of pastel-washed vignettes,&nbsp;which are anachronistic in the art direction and styling. Vintage and contemporary fashion collide in the concept, a glimpse into the unique world Landsvik and Muñoz have created.Not following a strict narrative, we follow the artist in his day-to-day life as he hangs out with a girl, plays music in beautiful locations and takes on a contender at table tennis.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Andreas Bjørseth brings a nostalgic, editorial style to the cinematography, with a soft and dreamy aesthetic that runs throughout the video.&nbsp;

Eivind Landsvik directs a charming tale of first love, in the video for Boy Pablo's Hey Girl.&nbsp;Aesthetically reminiscent of&nbsp;indie comedy Napoleon Dynamite, the world on-screen is an idyllic vision of teenage life.&nbsp;A narrator introduces the characters - many of whom&nbsp;have been previously showcased in other videos -&nbsp;as well as giving a little bit of exposition in terms of backstory and their motivation. Before long, a football match ensues and Boy Pablo frontman Nicolas Muñoz wins both the match and the girl of his dreams.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Andreas Bjørseth dives into nostalgic colour palettes and textures, paying homage to teen movies of the 80s and 90s in terms of composition and style, whilst simultaneously adding his own fresh contemporary twist.&nbsp;

Two young men walk through the deserted early morning streets of Oslo into&nbsp;the surrounding countryside, carrying a human-sized object&nbsp;wrapped in an orange blanket, in this quietly quirky comedy from Kasper&nbsp;Häggström.A video featuring tracks from Norwegian producer&nbsp;Lindstrøm’s album On A Clear Day I Can See You Forever, we follow their&nbsp;journey to the coast with their suspicious cargo, before we get an explanation in titles about what is happening - and then what is about to happen.Spoilers generally do not come in the films themselves, but here it serves to prepare the viewer for&nbsp;the darkly comic denouement, involving a naked archer who has an imaginative way to access his arrows.&nbsp;This deadpan telling&nbsp;of an apparently 'true story' adds to the sense, after his UKMVA-winning video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2018/11/02/kelly-lee-owens-throwing-lines-kasper-h%C3%A4ggstr%C3%B6m/56640" target="_blank">Kelly Lee Owens</a> and his recent video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2019/08/22/flyte-i-still-believe-you-kasper-h%C3%A4ggstr%C3%B6m/60382" target="_blank">Flyte</a>, that Kasper&nbsp;Häggström is following in a great tradition of Scandinavinian comedy directors, finding ever-subtler ways to tickle our funny bones.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Mikhael Paskalev confronts Death with dance, in his brilliant short film and music video for Witness.It starts out on a very sombre note, with Death&nbsp;(in his least intimidating form, played by Joe Wills, who co-directed this with Paskalev and DoP Jasper Spanning) taking a short questionnaire before taking Mikhael&#39;s life. The tables quickly turn when Mikhael asks Death if he can show him something. From there, they enter a room with a drained swimming pool, wherein Mikhael, dressed to the nines, dances in an ever-evolving, slightly erratic style.And eventually, Death finds himself joining in on the routine. A wonderful piece of narrative and choreography combined into a polished and artful video.

Karim Huu Do&#39;s video for The Shoe&#39;s track Submarine is an icy, unsettling, brilliantly composed&nbsp;piece which&nbsp;ventures into&nbsp;uncanny and disturbing&nbsp;territory.Following an intimate scene between a couple that leads to a&nbsp;secret&nbsp;agreement, the video&#39;s strange vibe builds with&nbsp;scenes of increasingly nighmarish nature, with the young woman experiencing some sort of&nbsp;posession as the dazed&nbsp;man looks on, surrounded by&nbsp;featureless faces.Karim Huu Do told DAZED: &quot;I remember watching Altered States&nbsp;when I was a kid, it&rsquo;s a movie about a scientist that wants to find a way to return to his first soul and to achieve it, he makes different experiments, one of them being the use of hallucinogens.&quot;I guess when I listened to the track it made me remember the feeling I had when I saw it. The slow tempo, the nonchalance in the surreal lyrics, everything in this song made me think about how you experience a drug.&nbsp;So I went into exploring the physical and mental state you go through when you&rsquo;re taking substance. More precisely how the dopamine is released in your brain in the process called &#39;brain reward&#39; and how drugs interfere with it.&nbsp;&quot;All together it makes the story you see in this film; a couple that experience a drug. While one is losing control of his mind, the other is losing control of her body.&quot;&nbsp;

Kristoffer Borgli's music video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2012/07/06/todd-terje-inspector-norse-by-kristoffer-borgli/" target="_blank">Todd Terje's Inspector Norse</a> won the best dance video (budget) category at the UK Music Video Awards last November. But that was actually the music video edit of Kristoffer's short film Whateverest, which tells the story of a guy from provincial Norway who goes by the internet alias of 'Inspector Norse' and inspired Todd Terje's smash hit dance tune. That film has been doing the rounds at international film festivals for the past few months, winning the special jury award at the AFI Fest in Los Angeles.
Now everyone can watch em&gt;Whateverest and discover what is not so apparent in the Inspector Norse video - that this is an affecting portrait of a real guy called Marius Solem Johansen: living in a small Norwegian town; a loner and failed musician with a predeliction for powerful home-cooked drugs, with quite frightening consequences; but also with a deep love for electronic music, and dancing. 
In short, a remarkable short doc - with great use of Todd Terje's music too. Unless its all fake - in which case it's just about the greatest fake doc ever made...

A different kind of video from Martin de Thurah for the Danish singer Fallulah - there's no jawdropping imagery, no supernatural element. This is all about a very believable scenario, and the characters: a civilized dinner party among happy, successful people. But then things loosen up, and the cracks start to appear. 
Its Martin's second music video in quick succession, following the haunting (supernatural) video for James Blake's <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2010/10/18/james-blake%E2%80%99s-limit-to-your-love-by-martin-de-thurah/" target="_blank">Limit To Your Love</a>. What's more his beautiful films for the Danish pavilion at the Shanghai Expo are on his Vimeo page, including <a href="" target="_blank">Mermaid</a>.

In typically beautiful (it was shot by Kasper Tuxen) and distinctive fashion Martin takes the commonplace and makes it extraordinary - in this case, subtly subjecting James's apartment to mysterious, time-space continuum-warping galactic forces.
