Romain Chassaing's long-awaited return to music videos has come for the French-Moroccan rapper Kekra - and in Chassaing's trademark style this is a fast-moving,&nbsp;action-packed tale, with a sense of humour as dark as it's dystopian setting.&nbsp;Kekra always appears with his face obscured, and in the video for Putain De Salaire&nbsp;he becomes a post-apocalyptic superhero, transformed by the radioactive waste that collects in murky corners of a&nbsp;brutal city run on slave labour. The plot of the video centres around the accidental effect of the toxic substance upon him and his newly found powers that&nbsp;spark a rebellion among the downtrodden underclass.&nbsp;Chassaing was inspired by his love of graphic novels and working closely with DoP Rik Zang, he has created a richly atmospheric dystopia, mixing references&nbsp;from Blade Runner to Alan Moore's graphic novels, with a nod to Wong Kar-wai.The video was shot in Thailand over&nbsp;two gruelling 18-hour days - thanks to some superhuman efforts from crew and service company Eastness. The extensive post production - involving&nbsp;CGI characters, digital effects and matte painting to add an epic scale - by FIRM in Paris was also turned around in time to have the video finished within a four-week schedule from treatment to delivery.It is Romain Chassaing's first video since his two for Dizzee Rascal, Bop And Keep It Dippin'&nbsp;and <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2018/10/19/dizzee-rascal-x-skepta-money-right-romain-chassaing/55603" target="_blank">Money Right</a>. He's been focussing more on building his profile in commercials since then. It is very good to have him back.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

This is a celebration of overcoming adversity and living life to the fullest, with sweeping steadicam shots and beautiful portraits of individual characters.&nbsp;Jon Echeveste's quickfire edit oscillates between street and club scenes, building to a crescendo of high-energy dance and perpetual partying. A very well-made video that matches a great concept with an authentic and emotional experience.&nbsp;

New Paris-based directing collective JTM have created surreal vistas of evolving apocalyptic chaos for electronic artist Katuchat.&nbsp;The track Spleen is taken from Katuchat&#39;s five track EP Anaesthesia, and the video directed and animated by JTM - that&#39;s&nbsp;Theo Jollet, Thomas Trichet &amp; Martin Maire - reflects the creative struggle at the core of making the music on the EP - and the artist also features in CGI form.This extravaganza&nbsp;was entirely &#39;homemade&#39; by the collective with 3D scans and compositing, to create a near photo-real dreamscape.&nbsp;A very&nbsp;impressive achievement for JTM&#39;s first ever music video.

You came to a fork in the road and had to make a choice of which path to take - one leads to glory, the other certain death (or at the very least you end up back on the previous page). Well, this video is essentially the interactive music video equivalent.Following a man from his last days in college, you navigate through adulthood via a series of moral dilemmas. Will you end up ruling the world, or waste your life playing video games?It is an incredibly ambitious project, beautifully executed by Chassaing and Solab in their latest collaboration with Naive New Beaters - and the payoff is well worth the effort. The creative range of short vignettes and the various combinations of unlockables will keep you hooked for ages.

Naive New Beaters 'Words Hurt' by Romain Chassaing

Julien Lassort&#39;s video for Ásgeir is a complex, brooding science fiction piece on the interconnectivity of humans, in a future where individuals leap between each other&#39;s personal VR experiences.&nbsp;The four intertwined stories leave out all but the slightest hints of exposition in favour of set pieces coated in Black Mirror-esque digital unease. Lassort manages to establish a convincing cinematic world of the&nbsp;near-future through very ambitious means -&nbsp;it&#39;s engrossing, and confusing, and&nbsp;beautifully executed.&nbsp;

French artist ALB has released Endless Together, the first single off&nbsp;his third album soon to be released - now paired with this entertaining&nbsp;love story between the singer&nbsp;his female robot lover directed by Colin Solal Cardo.Shot and styled in a retro futuristic style, the video sees the artist romancing the sexy robot Daisy - who at first makes&nbsp;an appearance on his television&nbsp;screen only - by performing the song for her. Then during an interlude, Daisy sings back at him while dancing seductively on a neon-lit stage, and&nbsp;joins him at the keyboard to perform her reply. As for his reaction, you could say he was struck by lightning.&nbsp;
