Grimes is locked in perpetual battle in the fantasy epic for Player Of Games,&nbsp;directed by Anton Tammi.&nbsp;Based on a story written by Grimes herself, we see the artist in a series of high-concept vignettes, at war both physically and emotionally with an enigmatic knight.&nbsp;It seems that they have some past baggage to work through, and they do so in theatrical games of chess, exhilarating sword fights and otherworldly adventures.The soundtrack is mesmerising, incorporating fight scene foley and a vast array of sound effects, which helps build the fantasy world and elevates the visual to a new level.&nbsp;This is one you'll be replaying a few times, and proves why Tammi is one of the most in demand directors of this era.&nbsp;

Yung Lean struggles to exist peacefully in isolation, in Anton Tammi's visual for Outta My Head.&nbsp;Taking place in a nondescript motel room,&nbsp;Lean is trapped both physically and mentally, chain-smoking cigarettes as he searches for something to stimulate his mind.&nbsp;The&nbsp;lime green colouring evident in the lighting and props gives the video a surreal and almost alien vibe, reminiscent of the 90's Goosebumps TV show, or Edgar Wright's cult sitcom Spaced. Although in fact, Tammi was inspired mostly by the Dogme 95 films from a similar period, as he explains below.Isolation has become so unusual and foreign as a concept to Lean, that he doesn't even feel human anymore. The radio blurts out the latest death statistics whilst he sings along to&nbsp;karaoke on&nbsp;his TV. That is the dichotomy of lockdown.&nbsp;

Anton Tammi teams up with Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, for their chilling fourth collaboration, In Your Eyes.&nbsp;Picking up right where he left off in <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2020/03/09/weeknd-after-hours-anton-tammi/63691">After Hours</a>, we see the artist brandishing a knife just as the elevator doors close, followed by a cacophony of gutwrenching screams.&nbsp;On the run, the girl from the elevator - played by Zaina Miuccia - is helpless as The Weeknd stalks her, embodying the foreboding threat of an '80s slasher villain. It's a blood soaked trip through anachronistic Los Angeles, echoing the same hallucinatory vibes as the previous visuals from the album, with a decidedly more gruesome aesthetic.With a climax that flips the concept on its head - and leaves Abel&nbsp;without his head - this is another masterful work from Tammi, who ends the series on a weird and wonderful high. &nbsp;

Anton Tammi directs a hallucinatory short film for The Weeknd, to promote upcoming album After Hours.&nbsp;This begins as if in the aftermath of that inventive appearance on The Late Show, with The Weeknd soaking up the applause of a chatshow audience, with a fake smile plastered across his face, hauntingly artificial and unusual.&nbsp;But after the rush and highs of performing, the rest of the world feels empty and lifeless, and this&nbsp;gradual realisation&nbsp;parallels the disappointment he feels with everyday life.&nbsp;Things take a turn for the surreal inside a subway station, where he is dragged and tossed around like a ragdoll by an unknown force. Representing the darker and more unpredictable side of his personality, this climax builds to a frenetic and mesmerising finale, full of Gaspar Noé-style edits and acid trip aesthetics.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Oliver Millar crafts the light in a way that plunges The Weeknd into shadow for the majority of the visual, mirroring the darker aspects of the concept and the artist's mindset. The smooth tracking shots at the beginning are counterpointed with intense whip-pans and frantic camera movement later on in the video, which helps match the pace of the concept alongside the cacophony of creepy sound effects.&nbsp;* NOTE:&nbsp;this video has an Epilepsy Warning *&nbsp;

Anton Tammi supplies a spectacular, hallucinatory vision for the return of The Weeknd with Heartless.&nbsp;Exploring the Vegas strip with a friend, Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd) is trying to find a girl to fix him whilst flings and drugs continue to leave him numb. Permanently in awe of the lights and sights, he stumbles through a number of casinos with a wingman by his side, whilst the 100 mile-an-hour city melts away in his drug-tinged concsciousness.Paying homage to films such as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Enter The Void, the dichotomy between the glitz and glam of Vegas and the darker side of tripping in the city is represented through glitchy lo-fi cutaways, and a deteriorating performance from the artist in the build to a sobering ending.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Halsey gets sucked into a magical fairground wonderland in Anton Tammi's video for Graveyard.&nbsp;Opening in a bedroom, Halsey is drawing on a pad, the red lines left by her marker pen glistening as she continues her work. Suddenly, her drawing of a girl comes to life, and the human version appears right by her side.&nbsp;Together, they are transported to an Alice in Wonderland-style world, under the glistening lights of a midnight carnival. Totally free, the pair playfully dance and explore without abandon, two characters in a utopic fantasy world. But all good things must come to an end, and as Halsey enters a tunnel aquarium, the other girl dissipates into red glittery stars, disappearing for good.&nbsp;Beautifully shot with a simple yet fantastic concept, Halsey jumps head first into her role, embodying a curious young woman with the power to dream. Her performance is nicely matched with co-star Sydney Sweeney - recently seen in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Anton Tammi goes the full peyote with a video for Somewhere Else&nbsp;that gives full rein to the director&#39;s visionary and hallucinatory&nbsp;gifts. It&#39;s probably the most psychedelic, spaced-out Western since Dennis Hopper made The Last Movie.&nbsp;Shot in Mexico, Tammi taps a mystic vision of comradely&nbsp;cowboys (and cowgirls; all African-American) under blood-orange skies, with symbols of the old West, including mustangs and scorpions, shape-shfiting into other objects.It climaxes at the invisible saloon, and magically&nbsp;firing up the jukebox for a spot of dancing. And frankly, line dancing has never been so cool.

Anton Tammi astounds with this incredible, trippy journey through a side of New York rarely seen for JIL.Part neon-noir, part analogue-psychedelic-erotic trip. The clip tears through New York and melts into the subconscious with a dreamlike ooze. A chance meeting on a subway starts it off, while an infrared walk through a graveyard, and a midnight motorbike ride are a couple of the vignettes here that don&#39;t explicitly string together a narrative so much as evoke a feeling of a narrative eluding us. A confidently stylised and completely engrossing work, over the course of&nbsp;seven stirring minutes.

Drawing inspiration from the album cover of The Prodigy&#39;s &#39;90s classic Fat Of The Land, with some Terminator T-1000 thrown in, Finnish director Anton Tammi has created a superb combination of visuals, editing and VFX for Bruce Smear&#39;s Pick &amp; Roll with simple yet visually arresting&nbsp;ingredients - a couple of crabs,&nbsp;a scorpion and metallic liquid.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A tabletop shoot in&nbsp;Brooklyn&nbsp;last year has been transformed, as result of months of editing back in his hometown of Helsinki, into an brilliantly kinetic exercise in twisted super-reality.&nbsp;And no animals were harmed making this film, it says <a href="http://www.dezeen.com/2015/07/11/anton-tammi-bruce-smear-pick-and-roll-music-video-tiny-crab-giant-obstacles/" target="_blank">here</a>, not even by that fork.&nbsp;&nbsp;
