David Knight - 7th Aug 2017
There’s just over one day left until the entry deadline for the UK Music Video Awards 2017, at midnight tomorrow (August 8th, BST). And among more than 30 categories, entries are being accepted to some of the most prestigious honours at the UKMVAs, for the Individual Awards. The awards are:
Best Director
Best New Director
Best Producer
Best Commissioner
Best Artist
In each case the award is given for a body of work over the past year, from August 1st 2016 to July 31st 2017, and for each individual or group who are submitted for an Individual Award, weblinks must be entered with the submission. In the case of Best Director and Best New Director links to a minimum of two videos must be included in the entry, a minimum of three videos for Best Producer and Best Artist, and a minimum of five videos for Best Commissioner.
There is also a brand new award at this year's UKMVAs, which also recognises a body of work over the course of the last year.
Best Production Company
In this case, weblinks for five of the works by the company must be entered with the submission.
More information about the categories can be found at the UKMVA website, and you can enter an individual or group (in the case of a directing team, or music act) or production company, by clicking the 'enter individual' button on the enter now page of the UKMVA website.
The deadline for entries is tomorrow on Tuesday, August 8th at midnight (BST). The first round of judging for the awards will begin next week, with hundreds of music video professionals voting as MVA Jury Members.
Also look out for news of tickets going on sale for the UK Music Video Awards 2017 ceremony and aftershow, which takes place for the third year running at the legendary Roundhouse in London, on October 26th 2017.
