There are two weeks left to enter videos to the UK Music Video Awards 2011.

The entry deadline for most of the categories at the UK Music Video Awards - including this year's expanded range of best video awards, the technical achievement categories, and a several more - is on August 15th, in two weeks time.
Go to www.ukmva.com to select the right category or categories for the videos you wish to enter - and then follow the simple entry process on the website. For the first time, entry to the MVAs is now entirely online, and unlike in our previous years where a separate charge was applicable for uploading videos to the judging platform, there is just one entry payment per video.

There are now the choice of 15 Best Video awards in which to enter, as each of the five music genres at the MVAs - Pop, Dance, Urban, Rock/Indie and Alternative - has a Best British, Best International and Best Budget (for videos made for less than £2K or equivalent) award.

There are now eight Technical Achievement awards, which each honour an individual (or individuals) for the creativity and technical prowess of their work on a specific music video in the following areas of expertise: animation, art direction, cinematography, choreography (a new award at the MVAs), editing, styling, telecine, visual effects. At least one of those listed on the entry form as potential recipients must be British, or the video itself must be a UK-commissioned work.

The remaining awards for which entries are welcomed are Best Live Music Coverage, Best Music Ad (TV and/or Online), and The Innovation Award. The terms and conditions for entry for these and all the awards can be found at www.ukmva.com.

Music videos for all the above awards have been completed and delivered to the commissioning client between August 1 2010 and July 31 2011 - so work completed from today (August 1 2011) will not be eligible for the UK Music Video Awards 2011.

The UK Music Video Awards 2011 will be held for the first time at The Empire, Leicester Square, on Tuesday, November 8th. Tickets will be on sale shortly, also available at . Booking forms for tickets are also available at www.ukmva.com.
