Four hopeful actors audition for the role of a lifetime, in Slane's touching promo for Rhys Lewis. Showing the lead up to - and the eventual fallout from - an awkward casting session, we follow the journeys of four very different characters, with Lewis taking on one of the roles. A flurry of chaotic poses, faux-fight scenes and strange facial expressions ensues, with none of the character getting the role. In the end, they all head out to the city as a group, and live out their superhero fantasies together. Comedic and heartfelt, it's a great little video that ends on an optimistic note. "Creating the world for this video was a lot of fun," says Slane. "A cast of superheroes was the key part of the brief. So I came up with four superhero characters and developed their backstories, superpowers and costumes, paying homage to Kick-Ass."Taking inspiration from 80's TV shows, Rhys and I came up with [superhero team] The Midnight and worked backwards to create this fun video of four failed audition tapes. There are few words that would give justice to this promo for Scottish DJ Hudson Mohawke. Brilliant, is probably one of them.Alan Resnick, director of much hilarious and weird content for Adult Swim, and actor Patti Harrison, known for her work in Shrill and I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, have collaborated to create a wonderfully daft and visceral video for Mohawke's Biscan. It's a 1-v-1 basketball game with a difference, as one character wants to play the game and the other - played by Harrison - just wants to dance her heart out. It's a trippy, hypnotic fantasy complete with superhero backstory, choreography - and lots of questionable bodily fluids. It's both relentlessly dreamlike, and propulsively energetic and visceral, as the song and Harrison's pumping dance moves demand. And for a concept so absurd and frantic, the video looks beautiful, blending vintage textures with some truly horror-esque moments, with some spot-on performances.A blast from start to finish - even if the basketball match is a bit one-sided.

A super-stylish girl gang kidnap a helpless Finn Askew, in Elliott Gonzo's glossy promo for Tokyo. Marking the release of the artist's latest EP, the video balances a sense of nostalgia with a futuristic aesthetic, as the gang take him via limousine to an unspecified location, for the performance of a lifetime. It's a grungy, cinematic affair, built around a simple yet very effective premise. The art direction and styling are the standout stars of the show, creating a vision that falls somewhere between real life and an angsty superhero film.
