Wesley Joseph invites us to explore feelings of incapability and infatuation in the self-directed video for Ultramarine.It’s a full blood moon, and Federick (Wesley’s alter ego, a self-confessed insomniac) is late to a wedding party, soon finding himself staring down the barrel of a golden baby magnum.With a focus on chasing what could harm him the most, we are presented with an evening of trippy eccentricity, fear and funk.Embracing a hypnotic red and blue colour palette and an electrifying sense of danger in every frame, the visual uses distorted POV shots and effects to create a darkly atmospheric aesthetic. The concept is a whirlwind of emotion and metaphor, and the cinematic qualities are notably enhanced by DoP Alfred Thirolle's masterful use of saturated colour and experimental camerawork.

Vixen Noir self-directs a lockdown visual for track I Love U. After the COVID-19 pandemic shut down production on her original vision for the video in early March of last year, Vixen pulled herself up by her bootstraps to direct, and employed a talented young video producer, Sage Flores, to edit.“I found myself in what started out as an exciting, beautiful relationship,” Vixen explains about the song. “Never before had I been wooed like that! I felt so special and loved. I was smitten. By the time I realized I was in a relationship wrought with emotional, mental and physical abuse, I was lost and my soul was dying. But I survived thanks in large part to Nina Simone, whose song, “I’m Gonna Leave You”, was my saving grace and eventually helped me walk away!”
