Taika Waititi takes a step in to directing music videos for real-life partner Rita Ora, and focusses entirely upon her compelling presence as a pop performer. In the liminal setting of the video for All Natural, Rita is the sole inhabitant of the space. The camera tracks, circles and lingers on her whilst she is almost continuously on the move, working within the space and with the lens. From the art direction through to movement direction, it's a punchy promo which feels both laidback and arresting. And celebrated actor and director Waititi, of What We Do In The Shadows and Jojo Rabbit fame, clearly enjoyed the experience of making the video.“Working with Rita is the easiest job in the world," he says. "I’m not even sure I could call it work. It’s literally pointing a camera at your best friend who happens to be criminally gorgeous and effortlessly talented."I mean, I wasn’t even operating the camera, I just told the guy where to point it. And all the while we got to listen to this absolute gem of a song. It’s actually a dream thing to do.”
