Joy Crookes returns with a Hindu-inspired video from Leonn Ward, where the London singer is augmented by the waving, and sheltering arms of her dancers.Following up from her acclaimed 2017 Influence EP, Don’t Let Me Down is a soulful ode to the breakdown of a relationship, and Ward has drawn upon Crookes’ Indian heritage to create a strong visual metaphor for the message in the song. Speaking to i-D, the singer said, “the video was inspired by the Hindu goddess Lakshmi… the song itself came from a vulnerable place, and for me, these arms show my strength in the situation and how I overcame it.”
