Kris R's second collaboration with funk outfit YOURS continues the old school London gangster storyline of the first - with a killer cameo from East Enders actor Sid Owen.Following the Costa del Sol-set Our Love, released in April, the video for Love Might Make Me Better is a thrilling ride, and boasts great performances from all involved as the four members of YOURS (including Maverick Sabre) are back in London, pulling off a caper that brings handsome rewards.With a cinematic look courtesy of DoP Jed Darlington-Roberts, and assured direction by Kris R, this is an snappy comedy crime drama which elevates the track. And then it delivers a nailbiting climax when the boys finally encounter Sid, playing the London kingpin - who's really not happy at all.So considering how this one ends... can we have a Part 3 please?

Four gangsters, one word: Mobrici... and a superbly offbeat, cinematic promo by Marco Santi. The video for Piccola opens with the four hoodlums looking into the boot of a car, staring at what can only be presumed as a dead body. They talk to each other with one utterance - 'Mobrici' - although the subtitles suggest they are saying something else. Then they head into a building where several two elderly couples are playing cards.As soon as they see the artist on the tiny portable TV, performing the the 'sweet song' Piccola, these hard men start to dance, get jolly, let their emotions melt away... and they forget their awful mission. It's an unusual promo with brilliant character performances, and an overwhelming sense of euphoria... strange, given the subject matter. Fine work from Santi, the Italian director nominated at last year's UKMVAs for his similarly characterful video for Nother's Us.

Rick Astley is back, with his biggest hit since the good old days of Stock Aitken Waterman. And Angels On My Side comes equipped with a video by Mike Baldwin that is a pitch-perfect mix of music, dance and action-comedy, that has you rooting for Rick as a unfussily cool, charmed everyman.It starts with Rick hung up in the dangerous end of some sketchy gangster dealings at a cargo container park. He's in the backseat of a car with two burly, fearsome men - who somehow have failed to notice Rick's Angels - in the form of 50s leather-jacket clad dancing girls (from dance troupe Sparkle Motion), are hanging out by a container, and break out in Grease-style formation, whenever Astley breaks into the chorus.When the whole affair comes to a head, as the gangster boss struts out from an alley, the girls swoop in, and get Rick out of harms way. It's silly, but it's also superior entertainment from Mike Baldwin, who after a long break, is now back on a roll in music videos.
