Malia James teams with Mimi Webb for a vibrantly colourful, warm and fuzzy take on a teenage break-up, set in a funfair - the appropriately-named Dreamland in Margate - for Halfway.Starting after the end of the relationship - where she thinks she sees her former love everywhere - we discover more about the love affair in flashback. Her heartthrob is there for most of it, but the spotlight is always on Mimi, as Malia James creates a gorgeously-crafted pop confection for the singer, employing the funfair setting to spectacular effect. Which is becoming of a director who has worked with Halsey, MØ, Troye Sivan, Tove Lo and Rita Ora, among others. Now she has given Mimi Webb a shot at the big time.
