Moonchild Sanelly and her gang of accomplices run wild and cause egg-related havoc all over town in Jabu Nadia Newman's terrific video for the South African artist and dancer's highly infectious Scrambled Eggs.From the start, the Capetown-based director transfixes the viewer with her bold and supercool take on contemporary South Africa, as the gang's invasion of a downtown cornershop has the edginess of a heist movie before turning into something more comedic and performance-based.With great camerawork, glam and choreo, Newman keeps the breathless narrative moving towards a daring climax, showcasing Moonchild Sanelly's great performance, and chemistry with her similarly blue-haired pals in the process.
